That psb7 might have a rate of 150 "ms" but!....what this guy forgot to say or didn't know about the S Box operates much faster when the "micro SD card" is put in to record what the ghost hunter is listening to! So by rights the S Box us way better than the psb7 is! And with a way better "louder" speaker! You need to purchase an optional plug in or Bluetooth speaker for the psb7! And the S Box has a rechargeable battery the psb7 does not! So the winner is the "S Box"! Hands down!😉
The reason you think it just overtook the sbox in sweep rate is due to the sbox's spike detect feature that stays onna stronger frequency longer when it thinks something is trying to come through.

When we first purchased it we did not look up any recommended sweep rates because we wanted to figure out what worked for us, and it of course turned out to be FM at 150ms. We keep the antenna down and sweep reverse...both in an effort to minimize interference from radio stations. We agree with what you said about the speaker also, we use a handheld JBL speaker plugged into the spout output and it works very very well. What an amazing video thank you for sharing!!
Great video the psb7 my friend bought one from the website called saint augustine I'm not sure if I'm right but it only cost him £59 he said. But ebay my word £119.99
I have the latest P-SB7T Spirit Box and I too get great results with 150 ms scan rate in reverse mode. Even in a big city like Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with lots of FM radio stations, the interference is kept down to a minimum. Whatever audio is heard as interference is never locked in enough to capture words from any station at that sweep rate and in reverse mode. Really does a fantastic job on cutting the interference down and eliminating false readings. I have had some interesting EVP's come through on this setting. Whether the antenna is extended or not, I get consistent results. Being new to the paranormal investigating world, I got results right off the bat! I had a female voice say over 8 frequencies swept "If you are able, help her!" and another female voice saying "Thank you!" over 7 frequencies swept in these settings. These were Class "A" EVP's. I have not gone to a haunted house yet, but I believe 100% my own apartment is haunted! I've seen and captured orbs, felt cold spots in my presence, have had an object tossed onto the floor, EVP's, and lots of KII Meter and Para4ce REM ONE spikes. I have not been able to debunk these events. It is the events that I started noticing in my own apartment that inspired me to become a paranormal investigator and I can't wait to visit a bona fide haunted location like the Bellaire House.

I usually use the SB7 on AM with a slowish scan speed and get great results. I also use P-SB7’s ‘Magnitude Mode’ which cuts down the noise a lot and often place it in a Faraday pouch too. I always record the sessions into a high quality sound recorder which allows real time headphone monitoring. I then carefully review them later, again using headphones, listening at about 60 or 70% of the normal recorded speed-makes things much easier for me to detect and accurately hear. Another thing I find is that I can really use the devices almost anywhere and get results. This makes me think these entities are widely dispersed in our environment. I can get great responses in my own home but I don’t believe the home is in any way ‘haunted’. Finally, I try to always say a prayer before and after sessions to demonstrate my commitment to good and I don’t use these devices frequently.

Funnily enough I seem to get nice results from the P-SB7 using slow to slowest scan rates on the AM band--I like the old-school nature of AM and the entities (that's what they seem to be) communicate clearly, easily, directly and intelligently in that mode. To clean up scan noise aberration even more, I use' Magnitude Mode' on the SB-7 AND also insert it into a Faraday pouch at the same time. I also use a sound recorder to record output from hi-fidelity speakers for later review. Alternately, feeding audio out from the SB-7 into a hi-fidelity audio recorder, while monitoring via headphones is also great fun :-) The results that come from these devices are often mind-blowing :-)
Yes, I mostly have mine on reverse sweep also. I was just using forward sweep to follow the scan rate of the channels easier for the test I was running.

The sweep rate is higher if you use with the sd card,,,but the radio noise is so annoying is that common, with both or just xbox someone please let me know,,also I have a very active house but have zero results wit the sbox
i have the sb11 and the sb7 and various other spirit boxes the best responses i always got were through the sb11..at the moment I am testing new hacked radios including dab ..dab does have white noise but you need an amplifier to hear it..I always use 250ms on the sb7 and sb11..In all fairness it shouldn't matter what speed you use? As spirit is coming through white noise not radio stations. so fast or slow shouldn't matter? Faster speeds of course will or should make radio station noise incoherent because of speed. Also it is a good idea to put the radio through a simple guitar noise reducer and play the sound through a voice recorder going to a small speaker. the voice recorder will record and also enhance the noise.another enhancer is to use a small guitar amplifier around £15 and the eq-7545r equaliser..
Well the sweep rate depends on your connection, to me 100ms reverse mode gives me better results, do you think the SBox would need an external speaker like the P-SB7 to hear while recording? I don't know why the new P-SB7 have a very bad speakers that barely can be heard, the old P-SB7 where a lot louder
The on board speaker for the SBox has been sufficiently loud enough for everytime I have used it. Not sure why the new P-SB7's don't have a better speaker?
@@hauntedbyhaunted I have two P-SB7, the first one I bought it in 2014 and the speaker was louder enough so I could hear what Spirit said without a speaker, but the second P-SB7 I bought in 2018 has no sound coming from the speaker at all, I try to record it with a microphone attached to the speaker and the sound barely can be heard, I read on the internet that the the new P-SB7 are less noisy than the first ones because it help spirits to talk, but to me less noise is crap, my old P-SB7 is a lot better so I don't know where can I find the old model because the new model doesn't work at all, the sound is too weak, even with speakers
@@AreaFantasma Both of your spirit boxes are newer than mine. The P-SB7 I use is almost 10 years old, purchased around 2011. Longevity is another issue plaguing the P-SB7. I am actually surprised mine still works even. My model has where I cannot adjust the volume while the unit is scanning. To change the volume I have to turn it off, then once I turn it back on adjust the volume to where I want it first before I begin scanning again. Alot of weird quirks with many of the P-SB7 models. I actually wonder if they purposely make them cheap now so people upgrade to the P-SB11.
I am on the fence about which one to get first. I am leaning toward the sbox more because of its ability to record evps and the radio. Ive also heard that the sb7 lacks a bit in quality and the speaker is terrible
They just came out with a newer SB7 with an improved speaker but the speaker on the SBox is still far superior. The SB7 feels like one good accidental drop and it would break rather easily, whereas the SBox feels more durable.
Sbox hands down the best. I own them both as well. Sb7 is a fake radio with fake static. Sbox sweeps fast as hell on its fastest rate. I get my best communication on level 2. Sbox is a far better Spiritbox.
Also, my level 4 scan rate is far faster than the one you used because I downloaded a the newer firmware. Something you can't do with an sb7 is download new sweeprates and effects. It sounds better. It has spike detection that temporarily suspends the sweep for a fraction of a second to allow for a longer reply. Your test was flawed because you didn't mention that. Sbox made the sb7 obsolete.

The s box pauses when a channel comes in clear enough......something the sb7 does not do. That's why it seems a little slower !
Can that feature be turned off? I find the pauses to be misleading.

all these are doing is scanning radio the same way your car radio does to find working channels in the area its not going to find any ghosts talking
not how it really works, the ghosts, speak through the sweeping, so technically, you can use your car radio if you wanted, stop being so Biased.
Usually the responses are clips from radio stations forming sentences word by word

when i put a sd card in my sbox and record with it it sweeps a lot faster
Instead of opening the case and removing the antenna , could just wrap aluminum foil around it to block signal?

The SBox has a spike sensor in it. It stops for a second if it picks something up. Lol, you can see it in the scan. Research much?
Sbox even in a Faraday cage still don't catch anything other than radio stations.

Sb7 and sb11 are brilliant the sbox chucked it on floor its rubbish truly is might as well get a roberts or a radioshack
