    Thanks much for this video. It solved two issues I was having and nearly turned my force into a frisbee. Much appreciate all your tutorials. I really like the force overall but some days I want to crush it when struggling with some features.

    In case this video is making anyone else feel completely insane because your Force doesn't act like this and you can't replicate these steps - everything in this video is predicated on having your Record Config set to "Rec Button Or Pad" rather than the default setting of "Rec button THEN pad." Maybe this video was made before those parameters were added in an update or something, but I spent a lot of time pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I couldn't replicate these steps.

      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  Před rokem +1

      Oh...yeah, good distinction. They changed that step you describe in a later firmware update. So thanks for pointing that out. Wish CZcams allowed you to go back and change older videos for things like this.

    Even when it's on "Fixed Length Recording Off" it still keeps looping on a fixed length when I am recording a clip. Am I doing something wrong? I'm very frustrated with the learning curve of the Force atm.

      1. Set the AUTOMATION of your TRACK to WRITE (search for 'track automation button) in the Force manual.
      2. Set the XYFX 'Location' to TRACK
      3. Arm the track for record and start recording!

    I have the missing pedal again when im recording my midi piano with pedaling even with the red effect record button on etc ... Sometimes it´s went ok (pedal was recorded in the arranger and sometimes not). I was learning something in the micro knobs and I forgot press learn again. I started recording my piano clip into the arranger and there I was seeing : learning pedal sustain whatsoever without using the pedal while recording. If im pluging the pedal of of the piano ( roland midi piano and pedal , so no cheap things ) nothing happened. It changed the sustain automatically. Sometimes pressing 1 time the pedal works for recording the whole pedal which is already recorded on the clip.
    That bugg as a piano player makes me very angry and at that moment I don´t want to record with the force anymore. Waiting for a buggfix ??? I don´t think they are fixing that exact bugg. Is it because my hardware is different form another force because of a mistake ?
    I know you are not a guy from Akai but If you had the same mistake please help me with you knowledge how you master that bugg.
    Thanks Christian

    Thanks for this video, you've got my sub! I've been considering buying Force for a long time, but one thing stop me: as I heard it's lack of different time signature than 4/4. Now as I see from your video it is actually possible to change measure by setting clip length for example one bar and one 1/4 beat and as a result clip is played back like 5/4 bar. Am I right?

      I only realised this last night after weeks of getting to know this thing! I’m into prog rock and cannot imagine writing in 4/4 all the time ouch. I found this workaround last night and wanna make a video on it as nobody else has? I cannot get my head around why akai PROFESSIONAL would make a £1400 device where you cannot change time signature. I wanna do crossover electro prog on it but I feel as if it’s gna be hard to do......

    can you override the fixed length if you manually start and top the loop? or is it always fixed once thats on

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  Před rokem

      You CAN override it! But clicking on the track button at the bottom (when you have it set to turn record enable on and off). I have done that often. Put it on fixed length - like 8 bars - but then manually stop it early, if I want to.

    Just Mate I wonder If.
    1. Can you pattern chain clips from above and below Rows?
    2. Would it be Best if you could Pattern chain the Rows using the Luanch buttons.
    3. Wonder If you could save all the Rows pattern chained Like a Song and then mess it all up Live then Reset back.
    Think this is How the Force should be able to Work.
    Maybe in arranger mode, Right?

  • @one2waziru

    I’m a musician who works with loops from my own created audiotracks.
    I bought the force primary to use a a loopplayer.
    I mean cut my tracks in pieces verse ,chorus and lauch them as I feel while playing guitar and singing so I’m still waiting for some way or another to control it with my feet .(clip lauching,I have a mcmillen 12 step )
    I still couldn’t figure out why when I hit another clip ,it doesn’t let the previous one to play till the end .
    This must be possible just like a looper in serial mode , no ??
    With my Ipad and quantiloop It’s possible but limited to four loops .

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  Před 4 lety

      Hmmm....Not quite sure what you're asking about the loops. But I'll guess that you mean that when you hit another clip (and that it doesn't continue), you're doing so vertically. If you want a clip to continue, and loop while you do another one - you'll need to organize horizontally.

    is there any way to do launchpad style clip launching? where some clips just loop while others are easily triggered?
    i know that clips can sync. but can you have various settings for each clip? so you could have a drum track always going. and then switch out clips to make a dubstep track?

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  Před 4 lety

      Sort of.... you can set different clip lengths, and determine if you want them to loop or not. So if you just had some short "one shot" clips, and some that looped, it would end up like Ableton. You just have to have a global launch quantization (i.e. how long it takes to play the clip after you hit it). You can't have some clips with short quantization, and some with longer - like you can with Ableton.

      really the most underrated piece of gear in recent years. while there was a buzz among akai fans and users. i feel like it didn't get the attention it deserves :D
      its really a beast of a groove box.
      i just wish they made a better synth plugin that allows you to make your own sounds from the ground up. tube synth is close. but doesn't do FM
      hype is fun but is limited in its modulation and INT settings.
