TheKZOShow thanks man! yeah the floods outro is one of my favorite parts and it calms and soothes you so much that I couldn't really follow with something brutal. gotta end with it and let it take you to a calm place.
Amen and the tone you had for it was spot on. Is everything coming from the Axe-Fx II, or do you have some presets on your Mesa Boogie? Also love the fact that you player The Great Southern Trendkill. That's my favorite Dimebag piece love hitting that solo riff myself XD

No, this doesn’t work with pantera. You can play Led Zeppelin sloppy as Jimmy Page was a pretty weak guitarist. Dimebag was one of a kind with flawless metal playing.
Don’t get me wrong, Dave didn’t screw up everything, he just needs to train his right hand technique for riffs to sound punchy and smashing as they should

God DAMN, all these solo tones are amazing, the playing is absolutely bang on, you can hear absolutely every single little characteristic of the guitar through the pickups as well at some high parts too.

I got all emotional at the end with the floods outro. Dime's music was a big part of my introduction to metal music and I will be forever grateful. The only one better than that would be either the sleep or cemetery gates, but I believe you did dime proud on this one. He and Vinnie are smiling down on you for sure!

Great overview of not only Darrell rhythm feel with the crunchy riffs but his soulful leads on the solos. Like so many players he wasn’t limited to playing in this ‘rock boxes’,..full command of the neck-very studied.
The first time I heard this I thought you weren't that close, but now after listening to them live for years I can say that you capture dimes live tone and way of playing almost perfectly.
