How to Make a Mechanical Arm at Home out of Cardboard (DIY)

- In this video I will show you how I made this mechanical hand with 5 moving fingers, there is no practical use for it, however it is a fun project and could be good for cosplays.

You could also cover with latex or an oversized white glove painted flesh color. Oversized enough for the fingers inside to still bend without much restriction.

You might want to try building a hand where the palm is made of individual bones, and then connect the bones together with some flexible rubber that lets the fourth and fifth fingers flop up and down a little bit like a natural hand. Great fun project build bigger! Ha ha ha

This is actually how the Marvel Legends Infinity Gauntlets basically work, except there's a handlebar inside and it takes more tensile strength to close each finger.
That’s also how Fallout 4 Power Armor hands work

also if you're not pieces of foam you can make fingers out of one part, they won't be too strong but they will be automatically spring loaded. You could also try putting a plastic cardboard backing on the foam.
