    • @declantibb8314
      @declantibb8314 Před 3 lety +2

      i'm a richmond fan and the reason they blew it to collingwood was simply the fact that they were so tired and overrun from winning all the time in 2018. That was the reason we lost because we had nothing left in the tank to run on. And 2019 we fixed that pacing ourselves throughout the year so we were well paced for the finals and ended up winning. So yeah

    • @brendonwatt6098
      @brendonwatt6098 Před 3 lety

      @Soussy Adelaide done tigers by 76 in 2017 hands down flogged them. Then got done by 8 in the granny. It took terrible calls in the 2nd half of the 3rd and the last quarter before west coast broke away "flogging Richmond"... Richmond made that granny you would've got 8 scored on you in the first and never would've got back within 4. Collingwood lost twice to richmond and didn't beat a decent side all season, they got an easy fixture and were fresh. Richmond werent. Collingwood took full advantage of that. Richmond wanted to rest that prelim to flog anyone next week and weren't expecting to get jumped. That's why Richmond would've done you in if you played off in 2018. And it got proven who the better side was in 2019 and 2020, soldo made nic Nat look like a 90k first year and Richmond made them look like the first week exit they were in the finals.. and it was neutral territory so no excuses either. Not a Richmond supporter btw

    • @brendonwatt6098
      @brendonwatt6098 Před 3 lety +1

      @Soussy after having a 5 goal lead and what about 2020? Didn't have an answer for that? You are the 2018 premiers and congrats you did win but the fact you won earlier in the year is irrelevant dude. Maybe I was a bit cruel saying you would've got 8 scored on you and wouldn't of got within 4 goals but if you think you would've got any less of a challenge than Richmond dude you're crazy man. Everyone's entitled to believe they would've won and they could've, but personally with the way Collingwood challenged, I think Richmond had your number in the sense of what could've been..

    To everyone saying that Richmond are flat track bullies........How many of their MCG games are actual advantages? Let's go through their fixture.
    Carlton-minor advantage
    Hawthorn-shares ground
    Brisbane-advantage
    Melbourne-shares ground
    Collingwood-shares ground
    Fremantle-advantage
    St.Kilda-advantage
    Essendon-minor advantage
    Geelong-minor advantage
    Adelaide-advantage
    Collingwood-shares ground
    Geelong-minor advantage
    Essendon-minor advantage
    Bulldogs-advantage
    Richmond get 10 games where they have an actual advantage over the team they are playing against on the MCG......the other 4 games are against teams that share the same ground so no advantage. (however Essendon(8), Geelong(7) and Carlton(7) play at least 7 games at the G in their season.....so not really a major advantage)
    West Coast have 10 games at Optus Stadium where they get an advantage and 2 games against Fremantle who share the same stadium so no advantage.........
    So there isn't really a big difference.....in fact West Coast would benefit more from their advantage than Richmond.

    • @RickyPro888
      @RickyPro888 Před 6 lety +5

      Jayden LOADER it’s just where the teams are located...

    • @badpleb9222
      @badpleb9222 Před 6 lety

      4 shared ground advantage 10 out of 14 advantageous matches is still a advantage and West Coast have to mostly go interstate every two weeks well Richmond doesn't and when they do well RIP them thats the point we're making. Geelong plays often at GMHBA Stadium, Essedon played 8 of their matches at Etihad Stadium, Richmond played 14 matches at MCG to Essedons 7 Matches at MCG. Geelong played 9 matches at GMHBA to 7 matches at the MCG as I said unlike Richmonds 14 matches at the MCG. Carlton played 8 matches at Etihad Stadium and 7 Matches at the MCG unlike Richmond's 14 matches at the MCG. Only 3 times at Etihad for away games.
      So what i mean is they need to play on more grounds like Etihad and play more Away games they kinda played 17 home matches which is a advantage.
      Don't get mad i'm only typing numbers and statistics.

    • @SilentHotdog28
      @SilentHotdog28 Před 6 lety +4

      But what I'm saying is it's not really an advantage when they play another team that plays on the same ground at least semi-regularly.......What are they supposed to do? they can't play their games at Ethiad.....they have 100 000 members and etihad holds 57 000~ people.......that's barely enough seats for their average attendance alone.....what about the other team that's playing them? Where are you going to seat them? outside the ground watching the T.V? then there's the factor of interstate teams.......they have 2 in those states and Vic has 10 in the one state, of course there is going to be more games played at M.C.G than anywhere else. I kinda see where you're coming from but what are they supposed to do?......if they move Richmond's games between grounds, they'll lose members because they can't go to enough games.....then that's bad for the game.......that's why the big clubs play at MCG and the smaller ones play at Etihad.

    • @badpleb9222
      @badpleb9222 Před 6 lety

      SilentHotdog28 i agree with what you said but why wouldn't Hawthorn and geelong play most their season at MCG?

    • @SilentHotdog28
      @SilentHotdog28 Před 6 lety +3

      Hawthorn are trying to get fans in Tassie which is understandable. As for Geelong, they are based in Geelong, but some of their bigger games are based at MCG......so those 2 it's a it weird.....

      Alborz Ajeli well with 10 of our best 22 out and most of them key players were going pretty well and once we get everyone back apart from Rance obviously we’ll be pretty strong and even if we don’t perform our depth and youth on the list looks incredible so as a Richmond fan there’s been more positives then negatives because we’ve already got a flag behind us now.

    • @goxaviergo11
      @goxaviergo11 Před 5 lety +1

      Alborz Ajeli and yet we now have the same win loss record as 2017 along with similar percentage. Plus, Riewoldt is coming back possibly for this week, but our team has so much depth (Sydney Stack, Liam Baker, Ryan Garthwaite, Noah Balta, Mabior Chol etc etc) that his return wouldn’t have as much of an impact as it would 2-3 years ago. And you have to count in the fact that we still have other players fighting for selection like Jack Higgins, Connor Menadue, Patrick Naish and Dan Butler.

      KnightOfCydonia1019 Um. Has nothing to do with any tea, other then Richmond. They play there every week giving them a higher advantage. I only mentioned the swans because they were the last tea: to beat them at the g, then the afl magically posted a 1st vs 2nd match at Etihad to protect their record. Don’t know how that has anything to do with swans form as it was about 8 weeks ago?

      @tenfoldtuesday5917 Před 6 lety +35

      Richmond have played 5 games outside of Melbourne, however here are the venue statistics for each Victorian team:
      Number of games outside Victoria:
      Carlton - 6 (1 at Tasmania)
      Collingwood - 5
      Essendon - 6
      Geelong - 5
      Hawthorn - 8 (Half at University of Tasmania)
      Melbourne - 7 (2 at Northern Territory)
      North Melbourne - 8 (3 at University of Tasmania, 1 at Cazaly’s Stadium)
      Richmond - 5
      St Kilda - 6 (1 at University of Tasmania)
      Western Bulldogs - 5 (1 at Manuka Oval)
      As you can see, Collingwood, Geelong and Western Bulldogs all have the same amount of games outside of Victoria as Richmond, if you subtract the 'special' venues, where it's not beneficial for either team, Carlton also have 5, Hawthorn have 4, Melbourne have 5, North Melbourne have 4, St Kilda have 5 and Western Bulldogs have 4. It's fair to say that it's almost evenly matched between the Victorian teams, and that a team's position on the ladder isn't dependent on how many games they play outside of their state or city. Richmond are just very good.

    • @haydenk4006
      @haydenk4006 Před 6 lety +4

      but they arent winning outside of the state, this would be a perfectly valid point if they had won say 1 or 2, they are lucky they have gold coast otherwise they would end on no interstate wins, for example Essendon, a side outside the eight have won 4 from 5 away (against easier opposition, but they arent in the eight so it roughly balances out). just imagine how dominant the Tiges would be if they got a few, they easily could have beaten port and gws if not for a few things going wrong

    0-4 when leaving Victoria. Not to worry though, they'll play every finals game at the 'G just like last year, despite finishing third

      @ethanvanheel4166 Před 6 lety +1

      BrissyFan321 exactly, no idea why the qualifying final was played at the G despite it being a Geelong home game

    • @SS-ub6rj
      @SS-ub6rj Před 6 lety +7

      One final in history has been played at the Cattery and it was an interstate team. Everyone knows Victorian finals are played at the MCG or Etihad if it's 2 in one day. Typical Muppet supporters

    • @ethanvanheel4166
      @ethanvanheel4166 Před 6 lety +1

      Salah Saed yes that is true but now that Geelong’s stadium has been upgraded and obviously they’re a club based in Geelong they’re pushing to bring their home games to the Cattery. Here mate have a read of this:

      @ethanvanheel4166 Před 6 lety +1

      Salah Saed only thing I don’t agree with the article is the argument against the grand final being played at the G. I think every game should be played at the home teams venue besides the grand final. That will forever be at the MCG no question

      West Coast actually have a "home ground advantage" every time they play at home, in the 12 games you play at optus stadium, 10 of them are against sides playing away. The tiges play 14 games at the G and only play 7 games where there is an actual advantage over the other team, go have a sook about something else pal.

      No they weren’t, Sydney have the hardest draw. Lol their whole draw was Reviewed in afl 360 and it’s the hardest draw out of all the teams, you can’t even argue with it, and even so look at the Points I’m making here.
      Sydney faced all top 8 teams in the first 8 rounds, and now finish the season with 4 top 8 teams.
      Sydney had to verse West Coast twice, North Melbourne twice, Geelong twice, GWS twice, Hawthorn twice.
      Plus with all the travel of an interstate team.
      So shut up.

      AFL aren't tiger crazy, they're money crazy. They put on big games at big grounds for big crowds. The more fans they can seat, the more money they can make on a game. Richmond v Geelong is played at the G because you get a hell of a lot more from 70k+ as opposed to 35k max.
