Brian May is waaaay to smart to be a rock star lol. seriously tho, it's nice to see two musicians discuss topics which affects all of us. it shows that they're not a one trick pony & have a lot more to offer other than riffs. gives us rockers something to be proud of, what we could aspire to be . excellent interview, thanks for posting.

I was a vegetarian for many years for all the same reasons as you. I love that you are speaking out and helping save so many innocent animals who are wrongfully treated and slaughtered. 💜✨💫🌙

Roger was Punk? Huh.... I always thought of him as the Rocker, with maybe a bit of New Wave mixed in there (in the 80's) But if Dr. Brian May says Roger is Punk, then I will accept that. Each member of Queen are such unique artists and individuals that combined, they truly were A KIND of MAGIC. 40 years on and I still LOVE them! Planning to see Brian and Roger with Adam Lambert in Feb.2018. My 4th Queen concert. (the last was 1982)

Brian, your HEDGEHOG ROAR HAS HOOKED MY HEART. I want to email you some thoughts and got off the subject and on another. Too exhausted to redo this as I knew it before I got the horrors re those WONDERFUL CREATURES here LONG before
man"kind". So read on if you dare.
    Hi, Brian,
You are the PERFECT PERSON JUST as you ARE....but still speaking so passionately, openly, & often about the life of your REAL FRIEND who left us almost 29 years ago yet still SO ALIVE in the HEARTS & MINDS of millions who LOVE QUEEN as ever even WITHOUT their lead singer. NO BAND of OUR AGE compares. I understand John Deacon's withdrawal from QUEEN as the VERY reason you CHOSE him...not LIKE us...quiet, etc.
    Ergo:
STILL WATERS run deep. When I studied him, I saw the same physical energy as in the rest of you but he kept it held within as tightly as possible. You probably already know but look again and at least I can see the desire trying to get loose!BUT the LOSS of a SOUL like FREDDIE'S was TOO MUCH for the man who had LEARNED SOMEWHERE in life to bear that kind of loss by BURYING it DEEPLY alongside his deep physical rhythmic energy. As a dancer, I adored watching him. He sure dug up TALENT AS A BASSIST PAR EXCELLENCE.
HOW did 3 men make an ORCHESTRAL SOUNDSCAPE giving FREDDIE A PLATFORM FOR HIS MOVEMENTS and the REST OF US A GROUP OF FOUR PEOPLE WHO CAN NEVER NEVER BE REPLACED. HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN.
BRIAN, read Eben ALEXANDER"s book "PROOF OF HEAVEN". I was listening to the interview and your thoughts. My Batchelor"s Degree is in Child Psychology (Experimental) with my own research in abnormal. My R.N. is Applied Science with specialties in pediatrics and psychiatric drugs.
ALEXANDER is a Neurosurgeon at University of Virginia. He was brain dead 6 days with e.coli klesibira(can never rem spelling but is totally antibiotic resistant. This book gives even die hards food for thought. He's brilliant and able to prove the
"Ifs" by professionals with pure accuracy in data via training and years of surgical procedures.
If FREDDIE that UNIQUELY created man who was able to show every facet of homo sapiens sapiens..only ego as in the aforesaid would make it double. Do you feel the same, MR.ASTRO-
PHYSICIST? I think I'm out of my league here. YOU majored in Astro Dust? My dad acted like a spec of it. I grew up in Virginia and my dad had seen the Aurora Borealis ONCE in his life....was born in 1920. For YEARS in summers, he had at least 3-10 kids laying on quilts in our backyard on weekends where,at 3,000 ft above Sea Level, the Milky Way was huge. It was also pitch black as we were in the countryside. We could see EVERYTHING unlike today's night lights that are ruining night creatures.
I fell in love with the other WORLDS out there. He made us feel like there was SO much MORE. Those years were 1957-1961. I was 13 so it ended. My night life didn't get exciting, but my INTEREST in all of it stayed and grew. I have a "thing" for our Moon and it's not romantic. I learned to like it as a friend and THEN when I remembered the tides, etc. Mark Twain's "dark side of the moon" just like people?
I'm curious about WHAT this is going to BE if ever done...
my ADHD is in full force. Worse lifelong case in history of University of Pennsylvania at age 48! Yes, I have education. My mother INFORMED me at age 3 that I was going to College. And living with Montgomery, Patton, MacArthur, and Rommel ( assassinated by the Fuhrer (cyanide) for collusion in assassination of said Fuhrer.
Re College, one didn't ask one just DID IT. Whatever College was.
BACK TO YOU AND FREDDIE AND the DEPTH OF CHARACTER AND SOUL of BOTH.
I'm sure MR. MERCURY felt the insipid and arrogant humor of the double wise wise which leads me to BEAR my feelings to you re my DEEP PASSIONATE PERCEPTIONS about F.M.
No one my age wants to listen. YOU are a BORN MUSICIAN, despite being so modest tonight.
The dichotomy of FREDDIE'S deeply confused mind based on his early childhood experiences (INDIA) & especially the religious beliefs had MORE possibilities of a truly messed up mind and a bitter and cynical one, given the archaic beliefs THEN and still slime around today!
What he did is somewhat like he came when he did for a REASON. I have a long history with homosexual men. It truly began with a 3 year old boy who moved next door to my 1st husband, a musical wunderkind. We lived in an old mansion divided into 3 apts. We were next door to Andy. His mother was 15 or 16 when she had
him. Her new husband was cruel to Andy. My ex was a GAY MAGNET...NO JOKE. Our landlord was gay and a pillar of the community. But my "friend " was a "queer" basher and very vocal. My open mindedness got around FAST and soon I was their first well known friend who didn't hide it. As I read more about FREDDIE, the more I thought about his INNATE sense of RIGHT vs WRONG and an INNATE, INBORN KINDNESS some are here to keep from BIRTH to DEATH. He had that or do you agree? You KNEW the MAN he was and his LYRICS tell a lot. So do YOURS. I just sense a man with a magnificent sense of humor a body and how but a BORN DANCER.
He had to have had that despite what that book by David?? made it seem. Since the autopsies of non Aids patients became more available, it was finally proven that the part of the brain that was different as proposed and theoretical was in actuality true. Humans are born with that part in homosexuals being different. How hard it must have been with his difference in his LOVE for MARY. And she was as UNIQUE AND LOVING AS HE.
I dated the reporter who won the big journalism award for exposing the scandal that Aids was a ONLY A Homosexual Disease . It was in the San Francisco Paper...mind slip..Journal or Chronicle. It's been a while. He was so unbelievably informed about this horrid life killer. He went on to write the 1st book on the NIH study in DNA transplants. Two girls fr CA had SCIDS and the transplants were successful. Larry wrote the book which was published mid 1990s.
More people like that are needed to end judgmentalism,
    hate, and ignorance ESPECIALLY RE
    ANIMALS, THE VOICELESS ONES.
RICHARD LEAKEY was in Kenya when I was there for a diplomatic trip to Kisumu. I was there in 1988, saw the President's pic next to Queen Elizabeth.
Told my 2nd & LAST husband that he wasn't trustworthy.
I got a sigh like my intuitions are on alert. He was jealous..duh.
Well, Leakey was burning old Ivory as our plane left. He left Kenya soon after for Tanzania.
LEAKEY'S QUOTE re the exposed truth about the Kenyan President:
"WHEN WILL [sic] WE EVER LEARN THAT MAN AND NATURE WERE MEANT TO LIVE IN HARMONY?". Hope it's exact. TELL THAT TO YOUR OFFICIALS KILLING INNOCENT HEDGIES!
BUT my past 20 years of researching spirituality as opposed to ORGANIZED RELIGION. Raised as a Presbyterian, my belief system is CHRIST centered. I didn't use
"Christian " because the Dead Sea Scrolls show more of a MYSTIC . Just FYI: I'm a died in the wool scientist innately but write poetry i.e. songs cold turkey. Most are about LOVE as Universal & personal, also. I'm a born musician but wanted a piano when 3 years old but too poor. So my mother put me on stage at 3 to dance. Still love it but can't live without MUSIC.
PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR GETTING OFF SUBJECTS. I'VE BEEN THRU THE ROUGHEST TTIME OF MY LIFE. FOUND BEST THERAPY WAS YOU TUBE AND
QUEEN. I am aware of QUEEN but was a devoted mother, wife, stepmother and VOLUNTEER/20hrs per week. I sneaked big looks at Live Aid ' 85. It was my husband not my son, a born musician who knew I was "immature " re music in my ex's rich boring crowd.
It seems too many years since a man who is gone can mesmerize me with his talents: many.
I feel cheated but though in England frequently in the '80's we were always with older or more sedate people than I.
My paternal grandmother is my biggest connection to G.Britain. Her people arrived around 400 A.D. fr Ger as SAXONS . They came with the Cecils and Calverts. The name is Whitten. They were instrumental in establishing Yorkshire County and intermarried, staying close as friends until some wisecracker got a group on LORD BALTIMORE (CALVERT) in 1643 and I was doomed to the new world. My great grandmother is full blooded Cherokee, if my cousin is correct. HALF my ancestors tried to kill off the OTHER HALF and people think me a tad whacked? I do know my humor is as British as it gets considering the region in which I was forced to live until 18...LOVED that word "College".
ENOUGH. I'M TERRIBLE AT THESE MSGS. NEED TO USE EMAIL. I've a new phone & my main email requires acts of God to retrieve.
Am leaving one I quickly made up.
    WISHFUL THOUGHTS, RITA?

I figure that would be as much a complement to that woman's taste as it is a complement to Roger Taylor.

Whatever you believe about the existence of God and heaven, is the basis of faith. What you believe is true. Not a big problem. When you believe in God or not, sometimes it's because one associates who God is in direct relation, for good or bad, with one's own biological father and their beliefs passed on to you. God loves all. Its up to you to go to Him. If you have trouble, ask Him for a little help. He won't disappoint but whether you realize it or not, we all exist to help each other be more thoughtful in life. A very difficult challenge. This is the conscience lesson in the garden of Eden: understanding right and wrong conduct...birth of the soul, (not the first humans, the first souls.)
