Lyrics seem a little specific to the writer, but in general the lyrics suggest pressure from multiple areas of society (friends, parents, lovers). 'Trees want me to have a baby' doesn't refer to actual trees, but biology/nature, the singer feels pressured by nature and her biological clock to reproduce, in addition to other social pressures/responsibilities which have drained her of energy 'her kids are hungry' suggesting the singer may be burdened with taking care of others. The singer is exhausted and while they have a lover in mind they'd like to make things work with, they feel overburdened at the moment and like they have nothing to offer or energy to invest into making it work. A bone is what's left after the nutrients (skin, marrow, flesh, etc.) have gone away. You could make a soup or something with it, but it wouldn't be nourishing or have much flavor. The singer wants to express her love and give her lover 'what they need', but with the current pressures she doesn't feel as though she has enough to give.
