    Bikes are assembled in Spirit Lake Iowa. Not Clear Lake.

    I have the stunning 2019 Indian Springfield in Burgandy and Gray, added stage 1 intake and exhaust with the sharktails. Cruising heaven, all day , every day. I love all the Indians, but the Springfield was the sweet spot for me.

      @@coolthingswithrob, Thanks, the Willow Green is beautiful retro and speaks to me as well. I think Polaris has done great honor to the Indian marque. People who haven't even demoed these Indians have no idea how sweet they are.

      I agree completely! I just purchased my first Indian, at a demo day in OKC. I knew after the first mile, that I had to have it. I purchased a used bike, instead of a new one. I’d like Indian to get a few more years on the new cylinder deactivation engines, before I take the plunge. I purchased a 2016 Chief Vintage, with only 686 miles on it. I can’t wait for great riding weather!

    • @roguecheddar
      @roguecheddar Před 3 lety +1

      @@j.m.buckendorf4616 , I haven't had any issues with the cylinder deactivation at all, it is truly unobtrusive. I do recommend the stage I intake (round one, to really show off those heads on the left side) and slipons. They sound great, and I still average 48 - 52 mpg cruising back roads around at 50-60 mph.

    The last Indian Motorcycles came off the line in 1954 the New York City Police Department ordered some and their purchasing agent was my uncle's good buddy from high school so my uncle was able to get one assembled along with the police order because the receiver wanted to sell off the parts so they called up laid off workers to come and assemble the parts and the bikes were not completely stock as some bikes got other parts than other bikes because of what was available at that time.

    Really good video! I enjoyed every minute and learned a bit. Seriously thinking on this bike or a road glide. I like the heritage look on the vintage so much but also like the fairing and speakers etc that go with it on the road glide....torn.

      @@fredormanis5705 Yeah I hear ya. I figured maybe 4 K or so - so I was way off. Anyway - my friend has a Ural with a sidecar - and the riding dynamics really get changed (turning, etc). So that's a consideration too.

    Kool as ...hell-o...... . Well that definitely dispels that olde fiery doctrine. (Kool vs. Hades., I know some of you scholars out there get it.) But we won't go into that for now lest the sensus folks jump all over us for entering dangerous territory. So anywho, indeed Indian has admirably, unquestionably, without a doubt made the best effort of bringing back 'days of olde' with that Classic, the Vintage, & ye olde Springfield. ( I know Springfield is the only one of the 3 left in that lineup) Thanx Indian. ........ Now on another note, can we just drop that ridiculous 'surcharge' thingy tagged on unnecessarily as of late. It's scaring the daylights out of us seniors who would like to make the purchase of an Indian before we graduate to the rollator & wheelchair & walker. I don't mean JonnyWalker either. .😅.

    I owned two real Indian's a 46 and later a 48. I looked over the new Indian Chief vintage before I bought my Harley FLSTC and it was a cost issue that made me buy Harley. I liked the Indian but it has a lot of periptery parts to include tires.

      @scottkinne9760 Před 2 lety +3

      “Real” Indians? Couple of quick questions. Are the Harley’s built in India, “real” Harley’s? How about the Harley’s assembled in Brazil, are they “real” Harley’s? When a bowling ball company owned Harley-Davidson, were they “real” Harley’s? Stop with the “real” and do some motorcycle manufacturing research.

      Also, are the front forks ( to identify one item) on a Harley, real Harley forks?
      No, they’re Showa forks!
      Which are made in Japan‼️

      I love how people say they love a Indian and fanboy all over a Harley and then try to make excuses why they brought the Harley instead of the Indian, just say you brought the Harley because you want to be like everyone else and think you’re cool because you own a Harley smh.
