For me, the ideal changes would be to add back certain Rux items such as the Heroes customisations, TW/HG skins and legendary consumables, reinstate community challenges (needed for some achievements) and of course, change the mystery portal rotation. Shameless plug, but I made a video a few months back of what I think an good rotation would consist of.
We should also get that unreleased Sprint Tackle for Torchwood in Rux, and maybe return legendary character pieces in there
For me I would like the following
1. Better Town Hall (Boss Hunt, Cats v Dinos, Soil Survival)
2. Community Challenges, even having every character it's still nice seeing the community working towards a common goal
3. Better servers, by this I just mean having constant servers, idk how many times I'll go to play and every server is unavailable
4. This one is a stretch but dlc, whether that be characters a map cosmetics, anything that can add to the game.
Something I love to see return is boss hunt (I still want revenge on yeti king), or imp vs corn event where infinite ammo turned scary shroom into a rapid fire insta-kill sniper. The most memorable one for me personally was the science lunch event (Chomper vs Scientist), man that was so was crazy and one sided.
For those who don’t know or remember, players on the zombie side would put themselves out of the chomper’s reach by hopping onto the top of something, put down a healing can and get on top if that as well, the jump and warp to a platform/high ground/pillar that the chompers could never reach due to how high up it was. Once the scientist is safe from the majority of chompers toolkit, it was just a matter of putting down a new can and some healing bombs and blasting away at every chomper in the swarm gathered below thats jumping, snapping, and spraying at the zombies that’s juuuuuuuuust out of reach. I got so many scientists maxed out with the toxic and fire variants being the most effective. (Fun Fact, the scientists even had an emote literally called “untouchable”)
Them removing boss hunt made it impossible to get all achievements too which is annoying

@@mrcookiefries2896 That's Twilight Chomper. You can use Unicorn Chomper in certain modes in the mystery portal but there's absolutely no way for you to actually own him if you missed out on the Feb 2017 deadline.
@@Navman_ I have the twilight chomper too, but no, I absolutely do have the unicorn chomper as well. Yes, I missed the deadline. So I just used the Frosty Mod Manager with a mod to unlock the unicorn chomper. Easy peasy

Sure but you can only do that on PC, console players and people that can't or just won't mod the game have no access to him.

If they see people still like the game maybe they will consider making GW3 one day. We’d have to be very clear to them what we want however. Like we need to tell them that we just want GW2 again but with new maps, characters, and better growth is. We don’t want another battle for neighborville that changes everything for the worse. We just want to improve on what we already have. Not reboot the series.

As someone who wants to 100% games I play not being able to get all the achievements makes me so upset. I only need 2 achievements and they both require boss hunt. Bringing boss hunt back is all I’m asking for.
I really like how a game about zombies eating plants and plants killing zombies is still going on and many players play it now
I’m fully on board with the Mystery Portal stuff coming back but also we could have online only maps come to offline or private play. And with the case of Wall-Nut Hills we could bring back Classic Gardens and Graveyards with the potential to add any of the old Garden Warfare 1 Maps. Same for a Classic Team Vanquish, since they are Classic you can only use Garden Warfare 1 Heroes. And this opens up another mode with the Garden Warfare 2 Heroes Only with either the same maps that are in the game or a new one or two for Herbal Assault
With current EA rules, they need to push diversity into their games to get funds for them, that means if GW2 gets updated it will have to include LGBT characters or stuff like that, sort of like Rainbow Six Siege (old game from 2016) recently adding an operator in a wheelchair to push for diversity. Also, I think realistically they cannot change anything from GW2 because of the old license agreements they had with the different songs that are in the game, e.g. the song playing in the game's intro when you boot it. IF they end up updating the game, they would need to remove those things, like GTA IV recently did, removing a lot of loved songs from their radio after the game turned 10 years old, due to licensing agreements, the exact same reason Forza Horizon 4 (a cars game) will close this year. And given they don't have a team of devs working on GW2, I doubt they could find a team to do different customizations items for the game, without losing the GW2 charm & soul. Those things would actually ruin the game.

Just imagine, if all or most of the former PopCap developers from the previous Garden Warfare games came back one last time for a Garden Warfare 3 game. That would be EPIC! Imagine all of the hype it would gain.

We need open town hall with all the modes we uses to play like boss hunt, cat vs dinos ect. Would love to see the skins again for the torch wood and the goat in ruxs. For sure some glitch patching that’s is a must

I want maybe the stuff that are needed for achivements such as boss hunt, cats vs dinos, and community chests. Its not only for the achivements but for others to get to expirence that others had. But im not getting my hopes but i hope something happens.
Ngl they should make it so that there are competitive and casual modes in the multiplayer portal with casual having stuff from town hall and normal modes while competitive is the current modes in the multiplayer portal with higher rewards and potentially even certain character stickers depending on how well you did during the match

The private server idea sounds pretty great.
There has been a really bad game bug when I use the cactuses garlic drone. Sometimes when I exit the drone the game bugs out and I ether have to restart my game or respawn. This game could definitely get some quality of life changes😊
Soil Survivors is the one you’re thinking of, and Capture the Taco is in rotation but rarely.

I really, REALLY hope that they make more crossovers with other games (Cookie Run: Kingdom, Team Fortress 2, Bloons TD 6, etc.), it's a bit of a stretch but that could bring alot of communities together!

Would like to see missing element variants and unicorn chomper dlc. Different crazy settings on town hall mode and no decrease in coins on solo mode.
I really hope in some shape of form they do a big revival, or some sort of reboot for the GW franchise that runs in the GW2 engine that could get continuous updates. I love PvZ , it really sucks that EA don't put any effort on reviving the GW franchise. There is hope 🙏

I would like to see a change to Rux especially make an appearance in the cave
for mystery portal i would like to see boss hunt,cats vs Dino’s,Soil survivors,and all of those fun modes like you get these cool power ups like the ice cream event
i would also like to see the return of the most iconic Community challenges the one you have to reach a specific goal and fireworks come out
they should also do balance changes like buff swamp chomper like 30% and nerf toxic brains by 5%
they also should bring back festivals you have to interact and get the key and exclusive packs inside the sticker shop
they also should add new modifiers to custom games settings

Cross platform would be a horrible decision in execution though because of PC's inherent advantages over console

I think they should add a peashooter called “shadow pea” he will be obtained by getting all the trophies or achievements but he won’t be a regular peashooter as he will move at 8m per second but only having 100 health he will also have a meter But it’s not going to be like party time instead it will make him invisible for 12 seconds and attacking will cancel the ability to unlock it you need 4 kills and you can activate it if you press o it may be broken but it will certainly be more fun than EP

I just hope that this game comes back. GW2 fills a hole that the hero shooter genre is missing. It’s so much fun and could easily be top of the list, or at least up there if it’s brought back to life
I would love a garden warfare 2 update and revival but i think it needs to just be that they make garden warfare 3. It would bring more attention to the game and a better way to add more stuff. Just keep the game what it is for the most part and add more stuff.
They could add new sticker packs for more specific purchases like abilities or weapon skins. If they bring a team back together and update the game they could add DLC with free content on the side.
I feel like this game could use a new wave of kids because most of us playing the game now are old fans. Because of Battle for Neighborville, most average kids don't like to buy the older game of the series. The game is in a sticky situation where people want more but EA knows the game doesn't have the best branding for the long term. And if they make a new game, they wont just keep all the old stuff.
So yeah, hopefully they get the team back for some DLC and support. Maybe they can figure out a way to brand excitement for lots of people

I really hope this picks up movement and gets to be something bigger it’s sad that they just gave up I bought all Garden warfare games I was a huge fan it was fun but the last one killed it but I still played it now that I’m a father I bought my son those games in pc so he can play since I had a lot of fun I wanted him to experience that for himself.

Pvzgw1 used to be competition to the cods released at the time. 2013,ghost..2014,infinite warefare, 2015 black ops 3. The game survived pretty good. Now i really dont see any competition of the same level Especially when tbe game sizes are 100+gb this is a relief to play. I always called it call of duty for kids
One mode i would love to see return which i dint think has been in th from 2018 is the battle of exploding heroes and soil survivors as zero mentioned those were so fun
The best thing for the game would be balance changes. A bunch of buffs and nerfs isnt very hard to implement and would really revitalise all aspects of the game

With the gw2 mods i think they should get rid of the ability to use them online, i think u should be able to use them offline in ur backyard or private play but not online

If you play solo bot matches do the bots use variants and randomized cosmetics?? If not I think this would be a good suggestion.
Also Capture the Taco happens every April and that other game mode you tried to express is called Soil Survivors.

I hope they add some unavailable content back into the game. Like different customizations and modes. And I also hope they add some new character variants. Which is kind of a bit much to ask for. But I just want a legendary for every character class. Giving one to the chomper, but not any of the other og plants is criminal. Also new maps. Or even bringing back old maps like they did with Wall Nut Hills. GW1 had an amazing map selection. While GW2’s map selection is a bit underwhelming. So that would help a lot.
Also they should add the GW1 exclusive characters to GW2. That would be awesome.

Community challenges should be back on rotation and other mode should be back on rotation primarily the fun ones like sole survivors cat versus dinos and a bunch of other ones for the mystery portal because right now it's very boring
Gw2 enhanced and optimized for xsx and ps5, remaster every gw1 map and bring back gw1 lobby music. That would be a nice revival

add cross platform, then more players will play, ( i recently tried to play from ps4 and the only modes i could play were team vanquish and turf takeover) no one was playing the other modes

Fortnite battle Royale is only a year younger than gw2, and is still up and running. So old games are still alive, we can do this!

Call me a doomer but I don't think there's going to be much of anything coming from this (at least in terms of new content).
With that said this is my list of updates for the game that I'd like to see, if they actually go back to this game:
-Make Community Challenges a thing again (for achievements' sake)
-Add new portal modes/modifiers to Private Game (and public matches too)
-Fix the anticheat
-Add Wall-Nut Hills to private game
-Fix load time for next gen consoles
-Make the GW1 loyalty rewards and PvZ Heroes exclusive items obtainable in some other way
-Make SB and Citron's beams actually useful (instead of having them do practically nothing unless you're right in front of your target)
-Make Torchwood and Hovergoat's Crazy Targets leaderboards actually work
-(Optional) Add the GW1 sponsor characters back (their data is in the files so obviously at one point they were planned)
-(Optional 2) Make the Torchwood and Hovergoat costumes variants
-(Optional 3) Make private servers/backyards hold more players (preferably up to 24 like in max lobbies)
-(Optional 4) Add unused bosses / boss hunts
-(Optional 5) Make the story mode Boss Hunts have a harder multiplayer version
-(Optional 6) Add any currently unreleased abilities (i.e. Shuck Shotgun or Torchwood's dash ability)
The six optional ones are most likely not gonna happen since (at least for the variants/abilities) they'd require adding/editing new code.
Personally I think BFN should have been the updated one though.

Some people buy the character bundles(keyword is some), but that isn’t going to earn EA enough money to make the game free. And I don’t want them adding more micro transactions, or nerfing the coin earn rate, just so they can make the game free. Or even worse, just locking every character variant behind a paywall. The game has plenty of players now. No reason to make it free. Updating the game will bring more players. Just giving the game attention will bring more players.
Fortnite literally comes out with new micro transactions almost every day. If not every day. They are doing crossovers like every week. That’s what earns money. GW2’s micro transactions consist of coins, that are easily earned in game anyways, and characters that are also easily earned in game. Even the legendary characters. There aren’t enough micro transactions to make the game free. And no one likes micro transactions so that would just leave a bad taste in the already existing community if EA just started pumping out micro transactions, on a game these people have already owned for 8 years, just so they can make the game free.
