Great documentary ! Music will always be the key of joyful and happiness
18:36 kid in the red shirt falls in the water
Lmaooo
At first I saw the length and was like "ehhh, maybe there's a shorter documentary I can watch". Then I heard Morgan freeman and thats all it took to pull me in lol
I LOVED this. Aloe Blacc you're awesome.
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
POV: you’re here from online general music class
This video has reinspired me to be involved with the community around me.
Still involved?
@@juliuscaesar8925 yeah actually
That's so cool, man!
LOL 😂on 18:36 the red shirt guy fell down 😂😂😂
It's impossible to live without music in this world.
Great music doc!
this inspired me so much I'm begging my parents to register a spot for piano
hello there
beautiful!thank you!
Elvis first record was not Blue Sued Shoes it was That's alright Mama! Also, Blue Sued Shoes was not written by Elvis it was Written by Carl Perkins. Elvis just made it a hit.
"Sued" is incorrect spelling. Try SUEDE
What about Michael Jackson? So disappointed by the people trying to cut his legacy. He dominated and entertained many generations. You can omit him from your documentary but he will never be forgotten
history of music and nothing about michael jackson? saved me from watching this
Do you seriously think they can fit everything in into 40 minutes? I'm a fan of MJ myself but this is just overly nitpicky
@@gwarchive Don't you think that he deserves his place among the greatest? He reinvented music and influence a lot of artists, more than a lot that was mentioned. But you are entitled to your opinion.
@@Uniquececile I agree that he has a longlasting impression among artists and non artists, basically all of humanity. That is no doubt. Granted the film could have been more comprehensive but it did what it tried to be: a tour of the US while weaving bits of music. Plus those music licenses cost a kidney.
Good onya, Aloe. This story needed telling and you did a good thing. I have a treatment for a TV series and would like to discuss it with you. Can you see this and reach out?
This is very exclusive. But ethnocentrism is back in style
Not as cool as "National Parks Adventure," but still pretty well-crafted.
My goodness, this is so slow! I'm here to learn, so get to the information please.

Whoa, why all the dislikes?
Too much sentimental filler.

pov: youre here cuz your cousins have a close up
Not everyone here is you
Who’s your cousin?
More like this one musicians musical journey that you are required to watch for online college. Its pretty cool though.
Dont think I didnt catch the subtle racism.
😹🤙
Sup MUS 302
MUS 302? lol
Johnny Cash ?
I don't think the music comes from Africa I think it's home grown American, Black American. We were stripped of everything African.
If the music is so African. Where were the African Blues and Jazz music in history, in the Caribbean or South America?? 400 years after we were sold into to slavery by our "brother and sisters". We were making music that was of a new Black America culture totally different from anything African.
