How to put a hat silk on a riding hat

Hat silks are a great way to make a jockey skull look a lot more stylish.
Whether you pick a hat silk in your cross country colours to coordinate with your cross country set, your favourite colour, or you want to make your skull cap have the appearance of a traditional velvet covered riding hat, hat silks can help. They are also easy to change - if you know how- meaning your one riding hat can have many different looks.
In this video, Kathryn from RB Equestrian is going to show you how to put a hat silk on your riding hat. Some key points to note:
• Start with your riding hat on a solid surface- it’ll make it easier!
• Put the peak of the silk halfway down the front of the hat before you pull the back over the riding hat
• Never pull the peak over the front on your hat as it could impair your vision and even make you wear your hat too far back.

this really helped me it is my first skull cap i normally have a peaked hat but i'm making my pony into doing cross country so i need a skull my. mum also said that this way was wrong but its not but this is really helpful so carry on x❤❤
