- Ella Yelich-O'Connor (Lorde) sings a cover of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" at the Takapuna Grammar's Dreamland Fashion Show 22nd August 2012.
This is a live onsite edit with no post production. The camera operators are both Takapuna Grammars students and I did the video mixing. It was only recorded in SD and not in the cameras as the video was not intended to be used in any post production work only to be used live on the big screens. This was a very low budget show so please take that in mind when commenting.
Please let me know who the dancers, camera operators and keyboard player are and I will add them in.

Lorde definitely sounds a bit younger in this than any of her album songs.

You are right. I've been a Pink Floyd fan for 30 years, but I'd rather meet Ella than Gilmore or Waters. So many questions about the inspiration for some of her lyrics. I'm gonna try to catch her show on the next US tour. Hopefully we have new album by then so I can ask her about those lyrics too. Go ahead and get it all out of the way in one conversation. Wonder how much backstage passes are? Lorde it up!

Yeah we've seen it. You don't have to describe whats happening in it or whats not perfect in it. All pretty obvious but very good for school age production.

love this song and how lorde sings it but for some reason the backround singer was being to much of a power house. is it just me?
It's definitely the opposite.
In fact, despite the fact that they are meant to cover opposite ends of the vocals, Lorde easily reaches the other end at multiple points in the video, such as when they converge at the cadence, which is, by definition, beneficially overpowering.
