What an amazing song, really love the arabic flavor.
As catchy as this song is, and I love the percussion, I still prefer her stripped versions. Like the live twitch she did this week of this and a few other of her recent songs that will be on next week’s Citizens EP.
“Anybody Else” is my fav from this batch.

@@hmongguyful yes apparently at the Juno's last night she was shunned as breakthrough artist of the year in Canada her home country as some unknown talent won it ! kind of insulting since I reside in Eastern Canada but do I ever hear her songs on local radio stations there!

Islam is not roots but faith she is neither not eastern but maghrebian exactly Moroccan, I guess you wanted to tell Arabic influences. Moroccans music is famous in my countries France and Spain their style is differents from eastern style. Their style is more blend of Berber, Arabic, Sub-Saharian African , French and Spanish influences.

I am a bad Faouzia fan because I never noticed the ad lives as she does at the end before… Or maybe they just didn’t stand out to me even if I heard them… Oops. I think I was just disappointing it because the song didn’t have the kind of breakdown that I was hoping would really escalate the excitement of the tune when it was released. If that makes any sense. It seems like she just wanted to release the song without giving it every thing that she could in my opinion.
