    One thing this didn't show is putting your heater on full blast too.. that way the coolant gets circulated through the heater core and helps to get air out of the lines.

    • @Stig_00
      @Stig_00 Před 2 lety +44

      Unless there have been significant changes in most manufacturers, there is always coolant running through the heater core. Putting it on full blast will only turn on the fan associated with it and adjust some blend doors behind the dash.

      I saw another video (ChrisFix How To Test Your Cooling System) where it says to test your coolant if it has its correct coolant to water ratio which for most is 50/50 but always check your owners manual to make sure. You can use a coolant tester (usually less than $5) and make sure you have the correct ratio. If you don't, you have to adjust it by adding either more coolant or more distilled water and then test it again, once you have the correct ratio, add coolant/water (50/50) mix until the resivoir is full to the fill line. Test again to make sure it stays at the 50/50 ratio.

    If antifreeze is red but low, can I add a different color of antifreeze?

      I wouldn't mix colors of antifreeze. We have no idea what chemical reactions can occur. Thanks for watching!

    A low coolant light came on the dash display. I added coolant to the reservoir, heard splashing & saw fluid falling to the ground.
    I told the car owner who asked her nephew to peek at it. He saw holes in the tubing from reservoir to radiator.
    The owner wanted to have AutoZone take a look. I told her they were not mechanics, but can see what they say. Which was they can order more tubing.
    That was two weeks ago. The whole ordeal has been 2½ weeks before that.
    What should I tell this lady?

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  Před 2 lety +1

      I would just order the tubing and replace it. Thanks for watching!
