    2 hands on the wheel to control your car people!!- just like a professional driver and race car driver:) 9and 3 o'clock works well!Also check your air pressure and make sure you have enough tread on your tires! Slow down also UNLESS you're in a hurry to get to the morgue!!!

      Lower tire pressure = wider foot print = better traction in snow

    • @pickin4you
      @pickin4you Před 2 lety +2

      @@patchesdriftwood34 proper tire pressure gives a better foot print. Tire pressure that is too low causes the middle of the tire to raise, and NOT make contact with the road. Go. Y the pressure on the TIRE and not the sticker on the door. Each tire is rated different. The pressure recommended on the sticker on the door is for the smoothest ride, and not for the best contact with the road, which also make for longer tire wear. Also it’s 10 and 2 hand position on the steering wheel. The biggest thing is to SLOW DOWN. Every car accident I see in rain or snow, they are all driving like they are driving away from a fire. Idiots.

    • @charliedillon1400
      @charliedillon1400 Před 2 lety

      @@pickin4you 10 and 2 has long since not been considered the optimal hand position. Look at steering wheels and placement of controls on modern cars. More like 8 and 4, like a race car.

    Follow these rules if you must drive during winter conditions:
    1) Equip winter tires onto your vehicle
    2) Ensure vehicle is serviced properly for winter driving conditions (proper oil viscosity, antifreeze mixture, windshield wiper fluid designed for below freezing temps, snow chains/cables, etc.)
    3) Keep a survival kit (including first kit, blanket, water, and MREs) in your vehicle
    4) Keep a charging cable and spare lithium battery for your phone in your vehicle
    5) If you live in an area or traveling through an area with limited or no cellular coverage, invest into a satellite phone
    6) Take a defensive driver course that trains you on winter driving techniques
    7) Give yourself plenty of time to travel - don’t worry about being late - better to arrive late than not at all!
