      @@clairecooper3848 I know but I spent all my money on this build and did'nt budget to spend any more on connections. Glad I found the extra cash. Wouldn't have been a smart move to put xt90's on this build for sure.

      @@FullOnRC yup ya dead right . Castle say minimum 8mm connectors , although there are a couple of people on’t ‘net that have gone with the XT90’s. “Ya can lead a horse to water” ehh! 😗😁

      @@clairecooper3848 LOL! The price tag of the combo and the chance of it going up in smoke sealed my decision. Although comments on Facebook got me feeling like this combo is an out and out Firestarter either way.

    I tried putting the same servo in my Kraton. The hobby shop said it was the right one. No it was not. I Dremeled, file, ground, spit, on it to make it fit....great vid brou.

    Bro, get some high quality hand tools. More than half these jobs you shouldn’t be using the power tip... it was a struggle at times. Plus you can strip out threads easily. Hudy make some of the best RC tools. Worth the investment.

    First putting all electronics in/on the receiver box and then get the whole box in the car was much more easier for me. By the way JX Servo HV2060MG 60KG fits perfectly and is under 30 Euro.
    I'm looking forward to your first run!

    I like your videos. I just bought a K8EXB during the last sale. I wanted to run the Reefs Beast 1000. I am assuming I will have trouble fitting that servo?

      Any decent one will do. Just get one with a clutch so you don't ruin threads. They are great for nipping up bolts. I got mine from Amazon but they don't list them anymore. Good luck with your search for one and cheers for tuning in.

    I have the mmx8s with the 800kv bent the shaft on the motor trying to decide what i should do. Either get the 1100kv with the xlx2 or just get another 800kv motor and keep the mmx8s?

      I don't have the car anymore sorry. I think the fire issue was just first batch. TBH I think you will be fine. They are pretty good on warranty just in case.

    What size screws did you use for the motor it’s self? The stock ones that castle provides are way too small

    The savox servo would have fit with no problem using the 5th scale servo box that comes with the rig.

      Incorrect. The Savox servo I used The mounting tabs are not located where they need to be for this car. The mounting holes for the Arrma ESC module did'nt line up and if you force it in, the pivot on the front servo saver binds on the chassis guard mounting where the bearing and servo saver swivel pin are.

      @@FullOnRC check out RC Recon video part 1 kraton build. The savox fit with no issue. 4 other youtube builders use the same servo and it fit.

      @@FullOnRC One more question some had problems with steering rack hitting the back of the 1100kv motor. Did you have to do any shaving?

      @@joeycrack509 The servo I had hit the receiver box before it sat on posts. I thought the other Arrma module, the gap between posts was smaller?

    Hi buddy! U are really Arrma Kraton fan!! You got the best stuffs for both 8th & 5th scale Kraton! :) how does the 9110 servo holding up? Do you need to cut/modified the box to get the servo to fit in it? Thanks once again for the great videos!

      The 9110 servo is great, Straight fit into the 8s Kraton, a bit pricey but it is good and in my mind you get what you pay for, Am I a Kraton fan, yes I guess I must be, the are epic RC@s the 8s Kraton feels a little delicate if I'm honest compared to the smaller EXB.       @@evo165 I like The Outcast 8s exb, I like the Kraton 8s exb with the XLX2 and 1100kv motor, It shifts, although the DBXL is slower it feels better to drive., Let me know if and when you get your outcast 8s exb and what you think of it,, what esc motor are you thinking of putting in it ?

      @@FullOnRC I am planing for Spektrum 9120 servo, HW max5 with 1100kv motor. It seem to me the 1100 better suit for the slightly shorter Outcast than 800kv.

      I could'nt say for sure as I don't own both. I think the Mamba may have higher specs. Have to research it.

    Hi I'm new to rc cars I have the kraton 8s for my first car I wanna install this same castel motor and esc I was wondering can I use a power hobby servo or do u have a better recommendation

    Does your original 56 motor mount fit with the 1100kv 2028 series motor? You only put 2 screws in?
    My mount does not fit all 3 screws :(

      Only two screws fit the 56 series mount. I presumed thats just how it is with the 1100kv motor.

    Now that is an EXB! I really wanna try the promax solderless connectors. super expensive but I really dont like soldering, and they have a crazy amp rating. honestly, If you aren't using it for speed runs or anything stupid, XT90's will do. I don't know why all the fuss, the anti-spark xt90's have a good amp rating and can take the heat (if you get the right brand).

      Thanks for stopping by @Bow River RC. I just wanted a connection I could use and not worry about even after a few packs run through it. I read the XT90s are rated at 100amp. This esc it states in the instructions uses more so I just wanted to be safe. I have wanted these qs8-s connections for a while.

      It was a small batch, the lot control numbers of the affected units were C27255, C27711, C27964 everything else is good to go.

      You may wanna make sure you spread the prongs in the plugs, I did'nt on one and it arced a little.

      @@clayton8465 LOL I thought you meant driver as in a hex driver, A driver where I am from is "A driver is a software component that lets the operating system and a device communicate with each other." I would just call it an ESC.
