I understand. Lost my Daddy too. He was the one I called, texted, shared even important to me 1st. Don't listen to anyone telling you that time heals. They don't know the pain were in. Time only allows us to learn how to live without them. We never 'heal' from losing a parent, but we can and will always love & miss them. We can learn to talk about them thru tears & be okay. It won't always hurt this bad, I promise. It's been 7 years for me. Still miss him like the sun misses the flower, like he flower misses the rain, but I'm doing better, and you will be too. @@MotleyShrew-iz9ms it's my middle name lol my mother wasn't a good mom, but she was a friend. It hurts me knowing my relationship I had with her will never be what most others have with their mother but it will help me know what not to do with my future children if I decide to have any.

As someone who lost her momma. I felt that line hard. The song that really gets me is "I hope you dance" by lee Ann Womack. That was my mommas song to my sisters and I. This song made me cry because It reminds me of the dog I lost when I was 8, we got her when I was really small, and after she had puppies, so she thought I was one of her puppies. She definitely loved and protected me like I was hers.

I saw a video of her friend reacting to this song and I was tearing up.. i lost mine about 7 years ago when I was 16 and in foster care.. this song made me feel so many emotions at once.. and my momma would always say "I love you to the moon and back" in every drawing and letter she ever made me and whenever we'd have a mother daughter moment. Even though it's been so long, I still cant even think about her without tearing up..

I just lost my grandma a few days ago. She had two strokes and at that moment I knew that she was passing soon. She would always go to church with me and my family and after service was over she'd get a cup of coffee and a doughnut. I am still crying about it.
I cant explain how much this made me cry. I lost my mom September 1, 2014 when I was 4, and my brother was 2. This was very hard for me and my brother. But i cant imagine what it was like for my dad. Having to raise 2 young kids without a mother. And the pain it must have caused him. I know that i was young and might not have many memorys of her, but she was still my mother that i spent everyday with. She stoped working so she could properly raise me and my brother. Now that i am older, the thought of her effects me a lot more because i can comprehend it more. I am truly sorry for all of those who have gone through the same thing, whether your a young kid or an adult. It can still be a traumatic loss.

Makes me think of my mother I always treated her wrong and never gave her any respect I always thought she was the one abusing me when really it was a vice versa and every time I listen to this song it makes me think of her she's still alive but that's not the point
My mom died five months ago. She died one month before my birthday, two before hers. She died right before she turned 35, she had me at 21 and I would always brag about all the time I would have with her since she was so young when she had me, and how her turning 35,what I thought was properly an adult and like middle aged made me feel old and that there was no way she was turning 35. She would always casually talk about when she was gonna dies too, what she wanted at her funeral, when she died we knew exactly what to do which is a luxury I know not everyone has, she wanted us to all have a party and for it to be a FUNeral.I guess we all just sort of jinxed it, or maybe it was just gods way of preparing us for it, maybe my mom just sort subconsciously knew. Whatever it was I’m glad she was like my best friend and that I got such full years with her at her funeral the church was fuller than Sunday mass and the livestream had even more, she touched so many people and I loved her so much

Broke down my dad died this year 2 days before Christmas to drugs and I'm only 12 he had 4 kids and missed his 10 month old son first Christmas. He missed my birthday this month. I didn't get to say goodbye bc I was at my mom's when he passed. When I got the new I broke down, screamed, and almost passed out. He was 37 years old. And I cry every day knowing I won't be able to ever see him again. I just wish I could've called him or been at the house to say goodbye and goodnight Love you when he passed. I miss him so much 😭
