I've done these croquetas 2 times and they are really good. The ones they sell at the store have so many ings and preservatives, etc. These are easy to make and delicious. I use a pack of diced ham and just ground it in the food processor. Thanks Nydia, awesome recipe!

Hi! Most latino supermarkets carry the ham. If you can't get the Serrano buy any sandwich ham low in water. Use blender or food processor to grind it. See information at the end of the video.

Hola Nannette Your are correct.. Roux is the combination of flour and butter.. wich is the base to make the Bechamel.. and yes Bechamel is also known as white sauce.. I wich i had more time to explain these things on the videos.. but we have a limitation in time and some people get bored with all those explanations.. In the blender mix 1 cup of mayo garlic clove and as much or as little cilantro or as much as you like and mix. You can also use parsley if you wish for a different flavor.

I'm taking back to childhood. I make these a little smaller. I also process some panko and use regular bread crumbs for the coating. They taste so good. Thank you. I'm not a big fan of ham. These gives me a chance to serve ham to guests.

We have a cuban restaurant here in Indianapolis, that makes a Cuban sandwich, using the croquetas. They are so tasty!
