Aww I got teary as she started crying when the Judge addressed her mental health. I completely agree; getting help can give you an amazing range of tools for adjustment that someone who is without help may not have.

I am very glad that judge Toler addressed mental health issues... To me it seems that the black community likes to sweep mental health issues under the rug and treat it like it doesn't exist or have a very flippant attitude towards mental health when we should be more on it.... For some reason in the black community if you go to see a psychiatrist you are automatically branded as crazy when sometimes you just need to talk to someone who would listen and help you through issues that can become even bigger problems later but because of a stigma we have added in the black community a lot of us don't seek help at all and later on we become very dysfunctional adults which also adds a stigma to us.... I hope this lady listens to what judge Toler told her to do and see some kind of professional help to help sort out some of the things that's going on with her and then maybe she will see that the rationale behind a lot of the things that she does towards her husband is not right
Agreed. Stigma. Guilt for asking for help. Thinking asking for help is a sign of weakness. Bad examples of handling stress from Big Mama. Afraid of what others may think. Embarrassment. etc You're absolutely correct Beast. We have a crisis in the black community and would rather go to church than see a licensed clinician. We have to do better. +SuperMoniquerose she isn't crazy but she has mental health issues. She is OCD for one as evidenced by her need to continue to reorganize things just so. She is acting not just concerned and worried and distrustful but she is going to an irrational extreme of testing him all the time. She also doesn't let the man talk or listen but that is another issue. She isn't crazy but this paranoia could lead to serious issues for her mentally if she doesn't either take a hold of it herself or see a professional who can help her. Doesn't make her crazy but doesn't mean that she has all her ducks in a row.

He got an STD from someone, when you are in a relationship, you don't get to "plead the 5th", you owe an explanation.
He knows exactly where he got it from, it's written all over his face. He's a cheater AND so irresponsible he put his own and her life at risk by having unprotected sex. (Unless it was a contact based STD which can be contracted irregardless of condom use)

I am an advocate for ability awareness. This is the most I have heard mental health be addressed in the media in the past few months. Mental disorders are serious and people need to learn more about them.
the judge advice was once again well appreciated an correct,an everybody needs a support system are to seek help when we have issues.
too often mental health issues disguise itself as many other things,i do think that they should be addressed within the community.

These could be symptoms over larger issues. Cause honestly making the man take a polygraph test (which aren't the most accurate to be honest) is just insane.

The kids need a stable environment, the Dad needs to stop playing head games it's not cute, they both need an outlet from the stress, try spending $500 on family activities and the other $500 on bills.
They definitely don't have the energy for outside affairs, it just breaks down the trust in the relationship for their marriage to thrive.
The important thing is the kids feel that tension, stop the madness and focus on family and your love for that family union.
