- This is my mountain base in Enshrouded that I used during most of my playthrough. It started out as a simple cabin and got expanded on as I found new things. Playing around with the building in Enshrouded and its quite fun! Lots of potential and lots of cool building blocks to play around with. Looking forward to trying out other different builds within this game as it evolves.

I like that you kept the ceilings natural, it shows exactly where you are and is a reminder of the time you've invested into the place.
yeah, I liked how it looked and that it added some more depth to it, plus it saved me some blocks :D

Stunning base, not just the concept but the design touches like where you've chosen to use different materials to accent others and the natural ceilings, all while keeping the lighting very even throughout by using illuminations and luminescent blocks. Just excellent!

I have watched many Base-Tour Videos from Enshrouded, but this Base is my favorite so far. Good Job.
To be fair i liked the Video already in the first 10 Seconds, because i build my Village at the same Spot. Hope some Day the Mountain-Village will be done. ^^

Gotta say, that bookshelf secret door is a delight. Even if you can *kinda* see behind it, if you know what you're looking for, it's still a neat addition to the game.
Yeah, its a fun thing to have in the game along with the other secret doors. Also fun when you find them out in the world with treasure behind them :)

I've been waiting to see base builds like this. Thank you. I say that because video's like this will drive more people to the game.
This reminds me of Valheim base builds. The game is great on it's own. But adding sweet looking custom bases really give the game character and longevity. Great looking base, Thank you for sharing.

wow amazing. I only just got game and was getting destroyed by the first dude in the elixir well. I need to try again and figure out what i need to do to get stronger, lol. good to see you can get really in-depth on base building, that's sweet.

Love the time and effort you've put into this build. However, does the secret entrance trigger anyone else how the bookcase clips into the wall when opening it?
Hehe, it sticks out on the outside as well so…. Lets call it a magical bookcase ;) but yeah, its a not so functional design in that way :)

That is some carefull digging, specialy the cellings, the rake won't help you there. Well now we know what a Valheim base builder player can do if its given the power to dig a cave.

Pretty nice. Just a few nitpicks:
- the secret bookshelf door clips into the wall. Would be better if it didn't. There's a secret stone door which slides down into the ground. Would be a better fit here.
- Where does all the carbon monoxide and smoke go from the torches, smelters and kilns? There are no air ducts or chimneys anywhere.
- Do your craftsmen companions have anywhere to sleep or do they have to just lie down on the cold stone floor?
- I don't think bees would find very much to eat in a cave without any plants or flowers.
Otherwise nice rustic design. Planning on doing something quite similar myself, only a bit bigger.

this is the one thing I agree with enshroud can make caves, over Valheim, why I loved 7d2d cause you could do this, but that wasnt a fantasy game, subbed for future videos

Nice job...one of the better bases i have seen, some work on the exterior of the hut, say lanscaped gardens would take it next level.

Fantastic! Was somehow hoping for you to slowly walk up to the bookcase in the last room and then leave us with a cliff hanger, all while still being inside your mountain base on the edge of the cliff 😉

This is very, very good. Best I've seen so far. I really liked the ideas of each room having its own theme (that fits) and using the storage boxes as a part of the wall. Great ideas. If the devs ever have a base contest, this is a top contender for sure. How many hours did you put in on this project?
Thank you so much! I dont know how many hours I spent since some of it got made on and off during normal play. I made the general layout and the storage room first and then filled the other rooms when taking a adventure break :)
Apparently there's an action, adventure, survival, rpg attached to this house building simulator.
Very curious about what you did for the chest/storage area. I have tried similar things but can’t get pieces to surround the chest without gaps but yours seems to be pretty seamless.
I leave/make a 2x2 hole in the wall I want to place it, and push it so its as far in as it goes without any wall showing through the chest. Place without using the snapping (press X)

Thank you! Yeah, this was solo play and normal gathering exploring done. There are however options to download maps with lots of resources now. Would only recommend that if you are done with the playthrough to avoid spoilers :) You can find them on the official discord.

I just started the game this weekend. It took me two hours to clear and build a basement the size of just one of those rooms, even with teraforming. That had to have been 10+ hours to clear and start all the ones here. If you have any quicker methods, please share!
Hi! The best way to clear terrain is with the construcion hammer. Either by using the Terrain shapes, like the 2M cube, or by placing a build shape like the 4M foundation into the terrain and then remove it again. This will leave an empty space where it was. Just need to put a flame down where you are digging.
@@just5moremins Yah. That's the trick I went with after a few minutes of smashing it out the old Minecraft pickaxe way. I used the 4x4 floor block to smooth out my walls, ceiling, etc. Wasn't sure if someone uncovered a bomb/tnt recipe yet. 😁
@@calebwhite2001 There are different bombs that you can throw and place, but not sure that would be faster (given that you need to craft them) and its a little less controlled :D Its fun to blow things up though :)

Thanks! I started outside with a flame altar, around where the house is, and after I had created a room inside the mountain I deactivated the one outside and created a new one inside. As long as you dont logg off or exit the area before putting up a new flame altar its all good :)

Very cool and it makes me rethink some of my own design choices. What tool did you primarily use to hollow out the mountain? The pick axe or rake?
Thank you! I used mostly the construction hammer and the terrain section there the remove things, and some rake to flatten the ground if needed. I created a quick CZcams short on it on my channel.
I'm so hype for this to get to Xbox later this year. Minecraft + Valheim + Elden Ring = (This game)!
