Of course not all the fandom but most of them ship them as friendship, soulmate, partner ,father-son, tom and jerry kind of relationships. Hypnosis does not control people, but it is rather just suggestions, so if that person does not want to do/reveal/etc something, simply put; they won't. S.Coups had full control over this experience and could not have been forced to do this. The hypnotizer simply gave him suggestions that his mind took. Hypnosis is most commonly used in the way in this situation. The patient basically explores something very troubling to them and the hypnotizer gives them suggestions which their minds can choose to accept which then helps relieve whatever is troubling them. Hypnosis has been proven to help stop drug and smoking addictions, along with lessening anxiety and depression.
@ch. i’m in therapy right now and therapy doesn’t become much natural than this i’d say. from my understanding hypnosis comes within deep in your subconscious, the stuff that is hidden super deep within you. Even with years of therapy, you don’t put those emotions out there because it’s hidden so well that it’s just not something that could be brought up in therapy that easily. Especially if it’s something traumatic and had a super emotional impact. I’ve never tried hypnosis but i would want to because even though therapy is helpful, it’s never enough for me personally to fully display and express my deep emotions and traumas.

Honestly, I feel like Woozi already knew, which is why he is the only member still in his seat. S.Coups and Woozi were the closest during predebut and even now, S.Coups said that Woozi is typically the one who he confides the more personal stuff to because of how strong their bond is and how "they don't judge each other" and feel the most comfortable with each other. Woozi and S.Coups don't broadcast their relationship much but there is a reason why S.Coups has all of the members as "Brother Wonwoo" "Brother Jeonghan" but for Woozi, he has "Dongsaeng" in his phone.

This has been appearing in my yt recommendations for about more than 3 years now. It took me whole 3 years to build up the courage to click on it out of fear that I'd see him break down or something. I can't see see him in pain. I've learnt a lot from him how to be introvert but still communicate and he's so brave really gives me energy. I love how all the members were worried for him from the beginning of it and stood by his side. I hope they get whatever they want to achieve.
Mingyu, The 8 , Seungkwan and Han couldn't sit still the entire time and rightfully so, I think Mingyu kept trying to get to ' Coups and kept coming back to his seat. This is hectic, his pupils weren't even moving under his eyelids, showing he was really under hypnosis, my heart breaks knowing the show did this to him.
They didn't do anything to him, S.Coups was completely under control the entire time. Hypnosis is not mind control, so if there was something he was uncomfortable with, he could stop at anytime. Hypnosis is just a matter of suggestions that the patient may mentally accept or decline.

A lot of people have different opinions and yes it can be tough being the person to watch this. Most would think this should be kept private and yes that’s understandable but if an idol wasn’t comfortable with anything being shown I don’t think it’d be put out. Also what a hypnotist can do is by letting you fall deep back into feeling those feelings it can be a healing experience because people tend to go on living life with those burdens and tend to ignore how they truly felt about something. I’m not saying you should agree or that I disagree that this shouldn’t be put out but you can really learn from it.

I can't believe that so many people are unaware that Scoups consented to this and was probably briefed on anything he might say, do or reveal while being under hypnosis before the shoot just to make sure that he was okay with it and knows all the potential risks. It's ridiculous how some people are hating on the hypnotist. Also you must not know much about it if you think you stay sad after experiencing something under hypnosis when you come out of it, when you come out of it it's just confusing bc of being in a dreamlike state and then you feel more at ease and relieved... that's why hypnosis is used as therapy.
To all that upset, this is all within s.coups doing. This is also helping him let go. therapy is important and his emotions shouldn’t be locked away because eventually, it’ll bottle up into something worse. I see so many comments where people repeat the same thought that at any point in time Cholie would have stopped it. How you possibly could say that, without knowing what he was thinking about, the amount of stress he was under, whether he had depression. The reason why i love coups so much because we both have an amazing love for our grandma i grew up with my grandmother she do everything for me only for me to find out she died without me knowing even I'm beside her i was so mad at myself at that time that why i did not woke up before she died i wish i woke up early and wake her up but it's to late i just woke up and she's gone already at my side... there's something about this that rubs me the wrong way. The members already looked hesitant before he was even sitting down, but the moment it got serious, you tell they were alarmed. They wanted this to stop, frankly, I wanted this to stop. This is so private and as an idol, he barely gets any privacy. Privacy is a right to us, but not to them. Not with their job. In the background and in the individual shots, you could see the member's feelings in their eyes. They were all fixed with worry and some were angry. Jeonghan, I think was the most obvious for this case, especially at around 1:42 when he hears the question, his face and expression changes like he can't completely process what's just been said. In The8's single shot he tells the members beside him that coups is crying. His eyes are wide and the way he whispers it's out of alarm. I have always admired Coup's courage and dedication, his strenght and skill as both a person and a celeb, but this is beyond my world. To have the strenght to go on television and put yourself in such a vulnearble state...I can't even imagine it

I started to stan SuJu last year (although I've always been a YG stan all my kpop fangirl life) because of leader Leeteuk & now another leader is making me want to stan another group. I always check out the leaders first whenever a group caught my attention. For me that's one of the best ways to know how the whole group is through the guidance of their leader & so far, I'm finding myself falling in love with S.Coups' character as stv's leader. I need to get to know each member first before I finally allow myself to be a Carat because I always believe that joining a fandom takes 100% dedication & love for ALL members of the group, regardless of your own bias. I am a Teume & I see a lot of TeuCarats on X & somehow Teumes & Carats do get along well. Most of my biases are leaders & S.Coups is starting to get on my list. I'll give this group & their music a chance & hopefully I'd be able to finally call myself a Carat.

I swear a few of these comments are so narrow minded. I know this reply is hella late, but y’all have to understand that this wouldn’t have worked if Scoups didn’t want it to. I understand people saying it’s super hard for him, and it’s personal but hypnosis literally digs into your past life, future life, or your deepest concerns. This I’m 1000% sure was explained to them. I’m sure the members had questions and knew what this experience entailed. The members may have felt it was uncomfortable or the room was heavy, but this was (as you can see towards the ending of the video) a release for coups. He wasn’t forced to dig into his deepest secrets/concerns, he was comfortable enough and that’s all that matters. He spoke on his own accord and the hosts of this show(especially leetuk) wouldn’t(imo) have forced him to continue if he no longer wanted to. If at any point Scoups was to feel major discomfort he could’ve ended it or the hypnotist would’ve token him out of that memory. He wasn’t forced to share his feelings on national tv, again he was comfortable enough and also it was good for him and us fans. Years later, so many idols have passed due to keeping things in, and although some situations are majorly different than others it was all things they FELT they couldn’t tell anyone. While this video could and I’m pretty sure has led to hate thrown at coups, it also threw him lots of love and support that trumped all of the negativity. I know a lot of idols need what coups experienced in this video because of their family, self, and company conflict, and so ultimately I say our leader was just fine. He’s a grown man who’s brought so much love, harmony, and peace among people and he needed an outlet. I’m pretty sure at this time he was struggling a lot mentally and so this, I believe, was good for him. It may have also felt heavy because Korean society isn’t very open to the public or many people compared to the U.S. where we talk about things that bother us VERY openly. I feel as though the room might’ve felt very hefty because again, they don’t really have open conversations about their problems to others(besides the members of course). Now, in their recent-ish show series, Hit The Road, Scoups opened up more about his struggles with being the leader sometimes/doubts and concerns. Matter of fact, a lot of the members do. It’s a matter of stepping out of your comfort zone to find something you’ve been looking for, even if that makes others uncomfortable.

Mingyu, The 8 , Seungkwan and Han couldn't sit still the entire time and rightfully so, I think Mingyu kept trying to get to ' Coups and kept coming back to his seat. This is hectic, his pupils weren't even moving under his eyelids, showing he was really under hypnosis, my heart breaks knowing the show did this to him.
They didn't do anything to him, S.Coups was completely under control the entire time. Hypnosis is not mind control, so if there was something he was uncomfortable with, he could stop at anytime. Hypnosis is just a matter of suggestions that the patient may mentally accept or decline.

Omg I feel so bad for him at that time, it must've been really stressful and tough on him. The fact that he had to perform, he carried the whole weight of his group on his back as well back then, and he was secretlg going through something personal. He is so strong for having went through that.

Hypnosis is primarily used for therapy actually. It has been proven to help stop drug and smoking addictions along with helping with anxiety, depression, and past trauma

.... nope. S.Coups was in complete control the entire time. Hypnosis is not mind control. If S.Coups didn't want to hypnosis to work, it wouldn't have. Hypnosis is primarily used to help people therapeutically, which is what is happening in this situation. The hypnotizer is giving him suggestions which he can accept or decline, to help him recognize what is troubling him and become more at peace with it.

A lot of people have different opinions and yes it can be tough being the person to watch this. Most would think this should be kept private and yes that’s understandable but if an idol wasn’t comfortable with anything being shown I don’t think it’d be put out. Also what a hypnotist can do is by letting you fall deep back into feeling those feelings it can be a healing experience because people tend to go on living life with those burdens and tend to ignore how they truly felt about something. I’m not saying you should agree or that I disagree that this shouldn’t be put out but you can really learn from it.

My granny's both died from cancer and one of my grandpa's died from cancer too my other died from a heart attack plus he was depressed and wasn't eating much because he missed my granny.

I can't believe that so many people are unaware that Scoups consented to this and was probably briefed on anything he might say, do or reveal while being under hypnosis before the shoot just to make sure that he was okay with it and knows all the potential risks. It's ridiculous how some people are hating on the hypnotist. Also you must not know much about it if you think you stay sad after experiencing something under hypnosis when you come out of it, when you come out of it it's just confusing bc of being in a dreamlike state and then you feel more at ease and relieved... that's why hypnosis is used as therapy.

To all that upset, this is all within s.coups doing. This is also helping him let go. therapy is important and his emotions shouldn’t be locked away because eventually, it’ll bottle up into something worse. Even though this was years ago, please know and understand that this all just him. He deserve to have a clear and a peaceful mind.
therapy should be done in private, not broadcasted to the whole world as a part of a show. I see so many comments where people repeat the same thought that at any point in time Cholie would have stopped it. How you possibly could say that, without knowing what he was thinking about, the amount of stress he was under, whether he had depression. Also keep in mind that he takes his role as the leader very seriously and in every possible moment (except when it's spicy food) he always takes member's place to do stuff if the later couldn't do it. Here he took that role on him too. Also y'all should know by now that every entertaining show despite having a script doesn't always follow it. Seungcheol was distraught and the members were worrying very much that's what should have shown you that it wasn't right thing to do/continue with those personal questions

there's something about this that rubs me the wrong way. The members already looked hesitant before he was even sitting down, but the moment it got serious, you tell they were alarmed. They wanted this to stop, frankly, I wanted this to stop. This is so private and as an idol, he barely gets any privacy. Privacy is a right to us, but not to them. Not with their job.
In the background and in the individual shots, you could see the member's feelings in their eyes. They were all fixed with worry and some were angry. Jeonghan, I think was the most obvious for this case, especially at around 1:42 when he hears the question, his face and expression changes like he can't completely process what's just been said. In The8's single shot he tells the members beside him that coups is crying. His eyes are wide and the way he whispers it's out of alarm.
I have always admired Coup's courage and dedication, his strenght and skill as both a person and a celeb, but this is beyond my world. To have the strenght to go on television and put yourself in such a vulnearble state...I can't even imagine it

I started to stan SuJu last year (although I've always been a YG stan all my kpop fangirl life) because of leader Leeteuk & now another leader is making me want to stan another group. I always check out the leaders first whenever a group caught my attention. For me that's one of the best ways to know how the whole group is through the guidance of their leader & so far, I'm finding myself falling in love with S.Coups' character as stv's leader.
I need to get to know each member first before I finally allow myself to be a Carat because I always believe that joining a fandom takes 100% dedication & love for ALL members of the group, regardless of your own bias. I am a Teume & I see a lot of TeuCarats on X & somehow Teumes & Carats do get along well.

2. They will absolutely JUMP this guy if Coups even shows a little bit of a sign of no longer consenting to this process (he completely knew what he was getting into and consented to this fully, if he didn’t it wouldn’t have worked in the first place, he’s fine) XD
I swear a few of these comments are so narrow minded. I know this reply is hella late, but y’all have to understand that this wouldn’t have worked if Scoups didn’t want it to. I understand people saying it’s super hard for him, and it’s personal but hypnosis literally digs into your past life, future life, or your deepest concerns. This I’m 1000% sure was explained to them. I’m sure the members had questions and knew what this experience entailed. The members may have felt it was uncomfortable or the room was heavy, but this was (as you can see towards the ending of the video) a release for coups. He wasn’t forced to dig into his deepest secrets/concerns, he was comfortable enough and that’s all that matters. He spoke on his own accord and the hosts of this show(especially leetuk) wouldn’t(imo) have forced him to continue if he no longer wanted to. If at any point Scoups was to feel major discomfort he could’ve ended it or the hypnotist would’ve token him out of that memory. He wasn’t forced to share his feelings on national tv, again he was comfortable enough and also it was good for him and us fans. Years later, so many idols have passed due to keeping things in, and although some situations are majorly different than others it was all things they FELT they couldn’t tell anyone. While this video could and I’m pretty sure has led to hate thrown at coups, it also threw him lots of love and support that trumped all of the negativity. I know a lot of idols need what coups experienced in this video because of their family, self, and company conflict, and so ultimately I say our leader was just fine. He’s a grown man who’s brought so much love, harmony, and peace among people and he needed an outlet. I’m pretty sure at this time he was struggling a lot mentally and so this, I believe, was good for him. It may have also felt heavy because Korean society isn’t very open to the public or many people compared to the U.S. where we talk about things that bother us VERY openly. I feel as though the room might’ve felt very hefty because again, they don’t really have open conversations about their problems to others(besides the members of course). Now, in their recent-ish show series, Hit The Road, Scoups opened up more about his struggles with being the leader sometimes/doubts and concerns. Matter of fact, a lot of the members do. It’s a matter of stepping out of your comfort zone to find something you’ve been looking for, even if that makes others uncomfortable.
