      I’ve lived just fine without a husband since 1998. I don’t own an RV but I do own my own mobile home on my own property. I have family but I choose to be alone. I have a very gas efficient car so I can pack it with a sleeping bag and a few things I need for a few days and just go. I’m still thinking about downsizing further and getting an RV. I’d love to be able to spend part of the time on the west coast and some time here with my family in the Midwest.

So we go to Arizona and California and stay in the LTVAs for $180 for 7 months. But, 3 months are too hot so we usually stay there for around 4 months.

    This one right here is my absolute favorite and is right up my alley. It’s really a Beautiful, well designed home on wheels. It’s got excellent utilization of all spaces and her creative storage is fantastic! And how about the great sized refrigerator AND freezer, and that awesome pantry her son built her?! Impressive. Without spending a fortune. It also feels spacious without being to huge to drive with ease, and is a well maintained home with lots of little things I love. The pantry. The end kitchen. The bathroom with dry shower. The fridge/freezer. The sofa. The beautiful cabinetry. THE BUNK. And it would never feel claustrophobic because it’s got wonderfully high ceilings. I’d live in that in a second. When I was a child and my parents and I (I’m an only child) would get in our RV once a year to travel the country so my father could preach at different tent revivals (its a whole Pentecostal thing, don’t get me started 🤦‍♀️) being on the road watching the world go by from my top bunk window was my absolute favorite part of traveling. The top bunk was my own little secret cave world and when I was up there, looking out, it was almost like flying. I remember being up in the mountains of Shenandoah when I was about 10 or 11; and looking out over a steep drop from my bunk perch, I saw a hawk circling below, as mist rolled off the trees on the mountainside. I was transfixed. It was one of the most beautiful, awe inspiring, majestic moments of my life, and one that even all these years later, I can recall with perfect clarity. And even now, the mountains call my name. I related to her right away when she said how she likes to be up in that bunk and it’s where she prefers to sleep. I get it 💯. If I had this rig right here, I’d stay right up in that bunk too. And it would be my own secret world once again. It’s a wonderful place to be. I absolutely love it and this particular rig❤️👍

You'll just end up missing more of a stable home life. It sounds good and looks good, but it gets old. I bet the woman in this video has probably sold it by now and got an apartment or house. Well I'm retired and have often thought I'd love to travel and see new places, perhaps meet new people, unlike Barbara I haven't moved around, I've lived in the same house since 1992.I did travel around Indiana Ohio and Michigan for work, I have to admit the idea of traveling around the country seems more possible if you don't have to pay for a hotel everywhere you go and have your basics covered on 4 wheels. I already have a GMC 2500 conversion van, so this has sure got me thinking. It looks both interesting and fun and I need to watch more videos similar to this to learn more to see how you smart folks do this.........

    I absolutely ADORE this back kitchen set up! My goodness does it bring an entirely different feeling to the rig! In fact, I think this is the nicest rig I have seen-everything is coordinated in beautiful fabrics and patterns. I especially like that she sleeps up in the overhead berth. I do not like going into a camper and seeing the bed right there. I like areas broken down by space-living room, dining, kitchen, etc. with the bed tucked out of the way. I could move into this camper in a heartbeat!

    We lived in our RV for nearly a year while building our new home. Summer was great because we had an "Add-A-Room" that gave us a screened-in area for eating outside in the summer, and had a little kitchen sink for cleaning up out there as well. Winter was pretty bad - we rented 5 acres (beautiful in good weather!) but when the power went out we had no water, no toilet, etc. We also had high winds in our area that were kind of scary with big trees all around. When the weather got totally miserable, we finally moved the RV into the garage at our unfinished home.
    We like our new home, but we're thankful to know that if we needed to, we could live in the RV or even in our sailboat.
    So Bob... have you interviewed people living in their boats yet? Thanks for all of these interviews!

  • @17025601
    @17025601 Před 7 lety +8

    Class Cs offer a lot. We have downsized from a 32-ft diesel pusher (which was so useful in our different lifestyle) to a 21-ft Built for Two by Born Free. Center aisle, two "sofas" we use as twin beds across from each other, wet bath, and all the good amenities. Not a plug for Born Free, but we have been satisfied with this shorter Class C for our travels and camping stops. A single person full-timing might well consider a Class C over a van or other Class B. In the long term, the extra room could be worth the difference in purchase price. This lady has done a marvelous job. Definitely not for packrats!
