God i miss havin game night with my group of buds in middle school, I'd invite them over to play sly cooper and we'd all take turns. Then play the multiplayer minigames sly 3 had. 🥺 I miss those guys....
the PS2 just has so much more personality, the color grading and effects like the outlines really brought a lot of it's charm to the PS2 while the PS3 version just looks arguably duller in comparison
Yeah, but the other 2 were flawless on PS3 though
The only downside to the PS3 version is that HD ruined the input of the miss ruby boss fight (my fav too…)
Sanzaru Games are a bunch of frauds. I hate what they did to this series. This remake is really lazy and is missing a bunch of small details and features.

I personally prefer the PS3 version for various reasons: HD graphics, 16:9 screen and the fact that the game also includes Sly 2 and Sly 3. However there is one thing I hate about the HD version, which I love about the version PS2, the battle against MZ. Ruby. On PS2 it is perfect, the attacks are in sync with the music and you can play even with your eyes closed. On PS3, however, the music is remixed and no longer synchronized with the attacks, which makes the battle not only more difficult, but also more confusing (I often play it by removing the music and leaving only the sound effects).
I just beat that part last night and I had to make my own sounds with her timing, it was kind of fun. And then I moved on to sly 2 and I'm getting used to the whole new overworld
PS3 has better textures but PS2 has the better atmosphere

ps3 is sharper but ps2 is more atmospehric, better lighting. since the ps3 seems to keep the same overall look id say 2 is better for those lighting effects
The PS3 looks great but I have more nostalgia for the PS2 grafics.

The amount of music mishaps in the ps3 (even the fire-escape in the intro) makes me appreciate the ps2 more
Huh, I can’t believe I couldn’t tell the difference until seeing them side-by-side. I hadn’t touched the original PS2 versions for years when the PS3 Collection came out
Although the game looks so much better on the PS3, for me there's little that's more nostalgic than playing classic games on classic consoles like the PS2

Ps vita is actually REALLY good port of it. Not quite ps3 level, but close enough
Besides resolution and framrate Always always always OG versiors are better in their OG hardware... Ports always get something missing or buggy
An easy solution to make the ps3 versions lighting would be to just add reshade and play with the settings
PS3 was way better in Hd , though the Ps2 colours popped more 👍👍

Idk why didn't they just emulated the PS2 games on PS4/PS5 instead of just the streaming only option 😔
It costs money to implament backwards compatibility using specific micro chips and parts to read the older discs. Its why only the Fat PS3 aka first model did it with all 3 types to work.
@@CosmicStardust2025 but they can use software emulation, if u mod the PS4 it can run PS2 games through software emulation, there videos of people running Crash Twinsanity on PS4 via software emulation, ND didnthatbwith the Jak & Daxter games on PS4

@@omegament-entertainmentit's not just about emulations they have to re buy the license and everything else for the game it's not like regular people emulating games where they can just steal the game and play it the actual company not only have to remake the game on the system they have to pay for licensing, they have to pay the music composer the voice actors they have to pay everyone and everything again and it's just not worth the money

The PS2 version actually looks cel shaded compared to the PS3 version. Sly Cooper games have always been renowned for its use of cel shading and the PS3 version looks too sanitised for my liking.
