He wouldn't put up with Carrie's attitude. He pairs better with the dog walker. Carrie would've snagged one of those lawyers she wants more than what a delivery driver could offer as far as finances and she seemed to be pleased with Doug's bedroom skills if anything it would be a money move for her.
Throughout the show it was implied numerous times that Carrie had a little crush on Deacon and a thing for black guys in general.

My Father, is a retired Logistics Engineer. My mother is a retired registered nurse. My aunt and uncle are PHD'S. I earned my MBA degree, JD degree and I am a licensed RCFE Administrator Executive Director, which should be paid well over $150, 000 a year. I ran 3 facilities with a 97% staff retention rate because I held biweekly meetings with food and drinks to keep morale up plus parties every month and the owners paid me just $21.00 an hour with no benefits and I pulled them out of getting their license revoked because staff training was not completed and files where missing documents etc. When I left, the 3 facility's licenses were revoked. WHITE PEOPLE CANNOT BARE TO PAY INTELLIGENT QUALIFIED BLACK PEOPLE FOR THEIR WORTH BECAUSE TELEVISION SHOWS TELL THEM, WE ARE AT THE BOTTOM EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW WE ARE KEEPING THEIR BUSINESS AFLOAT.
