  • Today we're going to set the chain tension on a Grizzly 125. Too much slack in your chain could cause it to jump off the sprocket and could cause serious damage to your transmission (don't ask me how I know). Let's get this chain set up right so we can enjoy hours of trouble free riding!

I found a digital version on eBay. Wasn't too expensive. These are awesome machines. Just need to keep up on that chain tension and greasing. A slack chain blew out a transmission in one of my Grizzly 125's. It caught just right and hard stopped, stripping 2 gears in the tranny. Fortunately the service manual had the procedure for rebuilding the transmission! Thanks for watching, and enjoy the machine!

Hi! What tires do you have on the ATV? what size? Thanks!

Those are the factory tires. The rear size is 22/10-18

Might be easier to access the chain by using a jack stand & removing the right rear tire.

Yes, it would be, but I like to set it down then jack it up, then set it down to make sure the tension is just right. That's a lot of wheel pulling! But you're right, easier access and easier to see, for sure.
