Why Sidi Bou Said 🇹🇳 is BETTER Than Santorini (Tunisia Travel Guide)

  • Sidi Bou Saïd. The new Santorini. The Santorini of Tunisia. This truly is a hidden gem and a must-see place in Tunisia.
Sidi Bou Said is a small town about 30-45mins from the Capital Tunis. What makes Sidi Bou Said famous is the characteristic blue and white houses that give a vibe like Santorini. But this is North Africa! With stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea!
In addition to Sidi Bou Said, the blue city of Tunisia, there is also the infamous La Marsa beach and the ancient Roman ruins of Carthage.
    TRANSPORT 🚗
You can get a train from Tunis City to Sidi Bou Said. Alternatively, you can simply get a taxi which I think is the best and easiest way to get there. Either using the Bolt app or hailing a yellow taxi.
    PRICES 💰
Sidi Bou Said is more expensive than Tunis in terms of food, drink and souvenirs but that is because it is more touristy than the Tunis Medina.
Should you stay in Sidi Bou Said?
SBS is closer to Tunis Carthage Airport than Tunis itself. And whilst you can stay, there is nothing much to do for longer than 1 day, so I would recommend staying in Tunis and taking a day trip.
But either way you must come!!!

Please stop comparing Sidi Bou Said to any other place because Sidi Bou Said is older and the rest is imitation, and welcome ♥️

Great video as usual. Sidi bou is a must if you're in Tunisia, but i agree with you in that it's pointless to stay there for more than a day.

Hello, be careful to not fall into tourist traps. The most known one is café des délices in sidi bou said. It's a restaurant that sells very overpriced food.
