Me too! But like I said, the stereotypes and making light of it have got to go!

I always describe Eurovision as European football, but without the hooliganism and bloodshed.
    Hi, Alesia! ❤

In a world that is so divided, this is one night to see that we are all not so different from one another.
I am from Ohio and started watching this in 2018. From then on it has opened my heart and mind to welcome differences. Music unites us all. May peace prevail.

Flo Rida was actually on Eurovision funnily enough! So that counts as an American act right?

Yes and no. American singers can compete in Eurovision but they would have to represent a different country not their own because the USA is not in Eurovision.

I'm really glad that US media is giving Eurovision more attention. I mean it is an institution in Europe - an entire continent for Pete's sake! And while it does have its share of crazy entries, it also has a lot of straight up just good music! I really think all of the US should be more aware of things outside of the US in general, but I'm partial to Eurovision. I don't think folks in the US should interfere in it too much, but they did have Justin Timberlake one year, and Madonna another year as interval acts.

😅 I beg that they keep Madonna away at all costs.

"I don't recall seeing a lot of American acts but maybe they're there."
Well, the 1997 winner was born in Kansas. ;)

@@maxlinder5262 It has had to move and evolve with the times. It would have failed miserably if it remained how it was in the 20th century
