That Ezekiel 23 reference was a slick move by Shabir. When you read the whole chapter it is a PARABLE. The two adulterous sisters are Samaria and Jerusalem. The women lusting after other men and having sex with them represent Samaria and Jerusalem lusting after other idols and making covenants with them. If one of these woman was your wife, would you judge her? God is saying he will judge those that turn away from Him in the same way.
If anything this chapter makes it easier to understand just how detestable God views sin.
