The description in detective mode says it’s designed to incapacitate, and most of the death screens seem to be Batman incapacitated and the villain finishes him off.

As a huge lost fan thats rewatched it 13 times, i felt completed by this reference.
I thought it was a reference to every single Mexican telenovela/soap-opera ever!
That sequence of attacks from 15:02 to 15:08 felt so satisfyingly natural. This game series boasts its excellent Freeflow combat system and that, right there, was the pinnacle of those mechanics.

I gotta say, this game wouldn't be nearly as good as it is without all the little side conversations that the henchmen have. It really adds a lot of atmosphere to the game and gives you the feeling that there's a lot of history between all of the characters.
