I used to only ride twins and I do still prefer them for normal activities. I was very against directional actually. I bought a directional twin this year though with about 1.5CM set back in the certs. Nose has more lift but camber is from point to point. It's a mild directional and it's a good addition to my quiver. I like riding switch as much as I can but aftwr getting my directional twin I wanna now get something like this to add as well. I love bombing irresponsibly fast almost as much as I love park. If you have the $ I think it's a good investment, but my heart is more geared towards (and if I didn't have the money for more than 1 board) something like the beast instead.
Last year if you asked me this I would had said f no, nope, not doing it😂🤷‍♂️
FWIW I live in Maine. This would be a special occasion board. Likely keeping edges super sharp and stay off the rails, but who knows.

been riding a 160 alternator for a few days now and I love it so far. I had the same reaction as you when I started euro carving down a steep groomer first run ("whooo!"). No heel chatter, no slipping out, you can really grip it and rip it. It's NOT my first directional board by any means, it just carves so well! Feels good in the air, makes tweaking nose grabs and methods really fun. haven't hit any rails yet but if I can do most the tricks I really like doing on my 173 nitro cannon, (front lips, front boards, weird boardslide to grab combos) then I'm sure the alternator will be good enough for my needs in the park
