    Hi how are you?Can you read a bit slow please thanks 🙏

    • @SoundBritish
      @SoundBritish  Před měsícem

      hi thanks for your comment. I read at a little slower than normal speaking speed because that will train your ears for understanding native English speakers. You can use CZcams controls to slow it down if you need to but you will learn better if you keep trying to understand it as you will start to listen a little quicker each time.
      Try going through it again and I promise you you will find it easier than the first time.
      Again thanks for your comment. Steve 👍

    What's the meaning "I fished in my pocket"

    • @SoundBritish
      @SoundBritish  Před měsícem

      Thanks for your question Copras. If someone says they fished for something it means they are searching for something, usually with their hands. So in this case putting their hands in their pockets to try to find their keys or you might fish in your bag to find some money. Steve

    So from what I see, it’s always quid, singular, no matter the quantity ? And boo Sandy, I don’t like mean and greedy people ! peace out 😉

    • @SoundBritish
      @SoundBritish  Před měsícem +1

      Yes that’s totally correct with regard to quid, it’s both plural and singular ie 1 quid or 10 quid are both right.
      Yes boo Sandy, who I named after a lovely lady I know from Taiwan 🤣

      @@SoundBritish thanks alot, sir could you pls guide how and from where I hv to follow ur play list?
      I want to improve my fluency and pronounciation like native?

    • @SoundBritish
      @SoundBritish  Před 4 dny

      Simply start with the pronunciation guides and concentrate on any areas or letters give you the most problems. Then use both the conversations and the stories to improve your listening and speaking skills. Go over each ‘mirroring’ technique until you sound the same, it might take a few goes. Concentrate on these things more than the vocabulary a first. Also don’t do too much at once an hour a day is plenty you need time to let your brain rest and recover. Steve
