The blood seeps out like the wounds of a walrus In salty ice in frost and blubber The birds the sun the bugs that adore you The endless glory The duck screams out as it chokes on medicine It's nature mocked then stuffed and murdered The one the other Faceless joyless cold The blood seeps out like the wounds of a walrus In salty ice in frost and blubber The birds the sun the bugs that adore you There you go :)
I'm ill as fuck atm but this song makes the dizziness feel pleasant somehow, someone said it sounds like a spiritual journey. I feel like I'm on some sort of vision quest
This is fantastic. Discovered only a couple of weeks ago after hearing on Double J. Have spent the last couple of weeks being absolutely transfixed by his stuff.
Heard this on radio and thought it might be a Sheep, Dog & Wolf track I hadn't heard before - until the DJ said it who it actually was! [And this was the first time I'd ever hard of D.D. Dumbo]. Check out some of Sheep Dog & Wolf stuff. The song Egospect, title track from album of same name) is one of my faves - and I think he played and recorded all parts on that himself, at home. Some interesting videos too.
The concept that everything is live-looped when performed live adds another dimension to the song that is hard to grasp when listening to a studio recording. That being said - I love this song regardless.
This is basically how I felt initially, couldn't get past it with Walrus, but after spending a lot (a LOT) of time with this album I'd happily take any of these recordings over the live ones now. Especially Brother - that song is taken to the next level!
To me this sounds like better version of I am walrus by the Beatles any one else hear it? It is quite hard to tell, but I would not be surprised if the inspiration came from that song. The arrangement and parts of the riffs are not the same entirely but they just slightly resemble each other enough to wonder. The name really makes you think aswell. And by no means do I feel or want suggest that this is some form of rip off or plagiarism by dumbo. They are very different songs, however they seem to be like weird brothers from different universes. And the similar names suggest dddumbo may have used it was inspiration.
I have Double J on this particular Saturday right now Holden Dawson- walker. Channel 200 on your telly. Also you can get it on digital TV, phone & puter you should love it ( same mob ) in case you were not aware about this, the original, before it became Tripple J years later, as I don't know your age
Another Aussie band that won't make it else where , only ever on triple j , make a few dollars touring shit house country towns and then they will be working a 9-5 job in about 2 years 👎🏻
D.D Dumbo's songs make me feel like I'm on a spirit quest.

Utopia Defeated just won the Triple J Australian Album Of The Year Award
I've got no idea of the lyrics to this song so I just sorta make noises to the tune it's great.
The blood seeps out like the wounds of a walrus
In salty ice in frost and blubber
The birds the sun the bugs that adore you
The endless glory
The duck screams out as it chokes on medicine
It's nature mocked then stuffed and murdered
The one the other
Faceless joyless cold
The blood seeps out like the wounds of a walrus
In salty ice in frost and blubber
The birds the sun the bugs that adore you
There you go :)
Oh god the lyrics
@@tigris2135 Thank you!

Sounds like Sting and Jeff Buckley. The production is tight. Love.

Love it❤️
Top class.I wait for your live in Italy.

Hmmm a mix of Jeff Buckley and The Police, I like
knew I wasn't crazy for thinking Jeff Buckley
I was thinking Lindsey Buckingham.
Charlene Apaapa l
Yeh, the main singer definitely sounds like Sting, and the lyrics are composed in a similar way
Theres some Yes in there somewhere lol, at least i hear some lol
Holy shit, this is way too fucking good!!

she still ain't done it 😤
What a tune
Thanks.
I'm not sure if I like it but something is mesmerizing in this song, for sure.
very refreshing
Last comment absolutely nailed it.....he's so much more dynamic live.
He should seriously consider recording a live version of the album
Just... Great.
cool job. 😀
hey trop bon, really appreciate!
Goooood trip song
❤it
This tune is a fucking acid trip...and a great one at that!
This is still an awesome song but I have to say - much prefer the live version from a couple years back
Totally agree. His album versions seem overproduced to me while live recordings are superb. This goes for Walrus, Oceans etc.
The concept that everything is live-looped when performed live adds another dimension to the song that is hard to grasp when listening to a studio recording. That being said - I love this song regardless.

Agreed.
Fuck I am so late to this but damn i hope someone responds, which live performance are you talking about??
magic
Unique.
yo diddy when the album drop?!
Thank fuck, something for me to listen to from these days!
Good shit
Great tune! You can hear the start of 'Satan' at the end of the track as well
Distinctly African feeling to the guitars and vocal melody.
Have a listen to Alihukwe, probably spelt it wrong.
An absolute Marcel Schmelzer! (Belter!)
So good reminds me a bit of Markendaya collective
nice you kc🎉
This is the shit
Yeah shit in your head
What?
Saying something "is the shit" is complimentary!
Exactly
its a compliment !
King Crimson in Fist fight with Peter Gabriel and Thomas Dolby
Does anyone have a tab for this song?
2020? vibes?
Does anyone know what happened to D.d Dumbo? Is he still active?
soo fuckin ace
Sting singing like Ofra Haza!
Seems to reflect the 80's a bit like sting/Police! I could be wrong??
Agree with comparation with the voice Jeff Buckley, Sting , but i like a lot all the mixed sound so mutch different those guys....

There is no comparison to the other version of this song which I can scarcely find online. The other version is just so much better. Where is it?
This one? czcams.com/video/ok03_1vxI9o/video.html
I would also like to know.
Jeff Buckley, Sting and King Crimson
