Great collection Russell .Thanks for the look👍
Excellent 4! Thanks!
Excellent selection Russ!
A selection that in part, I have also made.
I own a Rangeman and a Kamasu.
Allot’o bang for your buck!
Another great video as usual buddy always looking forward for the next.
Another fun video Russ! Great choices for a budget collection!
Wow, great choices all!
I have that Seiko , one of my favourite watches ...they do different colours too ...u made me smile with that one Rus ☺️ 👍
Good job, you nailed it!
A great selection for the smaller budget Russell. 4 very respectable and well made watches.
Brilliant list. Great to see the Machina Sportiva. The Hamilton definitely elevates the list. Cheers.
Love the choice on the Seiko and Orient!
Gday rusty, always puts a smile on my face with both anticipation of new content and your unique fun and energetic style. Plus as a bonus all your watches are in my lane. Onya 👍
Crazy as usual, love it.
I immediately bought that Seiko from jomashop. Just too cool to pass up. Good find!
What a great review, perfect!
Superb collection. I couldn't of picked better myself - they're all gems ✨️
Absolutely. I'm hyper critical of these collections at this price range, because i know so many quality affordable watches in this range, and people always pick random junk. But this was as good as someone could pick!
That Seiko looks very nice, love the pattern, the colors and the fact that it's solar powered; would definitely buy
Excellent selection there Russ. Thay Kamasu was a great find. Love the FOOOOOOMAAAAAY dial! 🤣The Seiko is very cool as well. I have a Seiko Coutura Solar Chronograph and it's the dogs maraccas!
I have that Rangeman and wear it often, quality choice!👏
Love my Hamilton Khaki bronze. Great collection for anyone
Very fun to watch. Loved the wife's reaction.
Great vid!
Great Video Russ! Always enjoy your lighthearted videos!
Here are my Jomashop 4:
1. Beater: Casio G-Shock G-7900-2DR, classic G with some great extra features like a low-temp LCD (useful for Canadian winters!), $74
2. Diver: Citizen Promaster Professional (blue dial), ISO certified dive watch with eco-drive, $204
3. GADA: Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 (black dial), boardroom to board shorts, and anywhere in between, $520
4. Bonus: Bulova Hack (Ivory dial on leather), classic military styling - who doesn't love that? $205
I enjoyed the challenge of making this collection! Restricting only to Jomashop certainly required careful consideration to make sure there was variety and balance. Very fun!
All great choices. I got a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical from Jomashop a few months ago, and just got a Seiko SNXS79 from them a couple days ago. Some good deals on there for sure. The wife's comments were insightful as always!
Jomashop has been a fantastic shopping experience for me. Purchased 8 watches from them, 6 in the past two years.. ..3 Hamilton, 2 Tissot, and an Orient. All grest pieces and best prices I could find.
Great choices!
The beater is a great one, id get one as well.
For everyday id get a skin diver and another dress watch. The bonus could be a more serious diver..
Its cool seeing other people's choices and taste.. 🙂
That Seiko is awesome. I can't say I've seen it before. What a find! 🤓
Funny but as usual very informative-- great 👍
Great choices. I like Jomashop. I have ordered several watches from them. I think I will go on their sight and see what I would buy for a 4 watch collection under 1000. I can already tell you the Kamasu with the green dial will probably be one of them or maybe the Triton.
I've got that very Seiko! Nobody else on CZcams seems to have given it the time of day, it seems to be a watch that has flown very much under the radar. I never expected to see it on CZcams - is it even still on sale? It's so weird to see you just pull that one out of the hat.
I don't share the fanatical love of Seiko that you and many other online watch lovers seem to have, but this was one of the first watches I bought when I started collecting and I've never stopped loving it. That silver honeycombed dial is pretty unique. And the fact that it's solar is the cherry on the cake.
PS. The sapphire glass is a nice discovery too.
THE CASIO RANGE MAN THAT WATCH IS IN MY COLLECTION I LIKE IT THE ORIENT NICE WATCH GREAT COLLECTION WATCHES THANKS FOR MAKEING THIS GREAT VIDEO
Those are superb bang for the buck! Wise choices 👏👏👏
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR sensational as always, back home to the family today and a new watch so all good🤘😎
great picks
What a great list!! Spot On!
And what a great “discovery” with that Seiko! Curiously, how much time did this research take!! With soooo many options 🫢
Thanks for sharing!
again a mad review with four beauties!!! thanks 😂😂😂
Glad you've got yourself a Rangeman, its a lot of watch and remarkably comfortable.
I'm not good at picking small watch collections because my tates vary, but these are excellent choices, Russ. I have yet to get my hands on and Orient. But if I was, I would definitely get this very diver first and foremost. That Seiko at the end was a pleasant surprise, too. Well done.
Hey Rus some great choices mate You have covered the bases. I challenge you to do the same challenge using only micro brands? It would really be interesting if you could do similar for that price.
Great 4 watch selection, like the kamasu and the Hamilton, I love the non tapering straps on my Orients
Love the crazy cat(?) on the Casio caseback. Even better than the mudman mole!
I love that Seiko, I have every class it hits covered and yet I still kinda want it. It's a lot like my Citizen eco drive chrono but, the dial is so unique.
I have a seiko solar as my everyday watch, it's fantastic i can wear it out socially or with a suit at the office. Brilliant watch and i love it requires minimal maintenance
Another great video! Along with Khaki and Kamasu, my personal preference would be G Shock solar square (w combi bracelet) instead of Rangeman, and Seiko SRK047 instead of the Solar White. It is a great looking quartz dress watch with sapphire crystal and cream dial.
I always laugh so hard with you unique acting, lovely reviews😍
Just subscribed, awesome content. I’ve been binge watching all morning.
I’d go…
1. Casio twin sensor - sgw100, $41. It does everything cheaper and it’s gshock strong without the logo. I’ve had one for 10 yrs, no issues.
2.Orient Mako 2 - $141
3. Hamilton Khaki - but I’d do the auto with calendar as the daily, it gives a little more functionality- $450
4. SEIKO LDS Essential chronograph - $150
Total - $782
That Seiko is so awesome, especially for the price. I was looking at the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer - this watch shares the 100M water resistance, solar quartz - okay it's not quite as snazzy but at 1/3 of the price it's really cool.
Do you know what his wrist size is? i'm thinkin of doing this one over the speedtimer too. but i have 6.5'' wrist and i think this seiko is a 41mm.. It looked fine on him though
I agree with the Rangeman as a beater. For an everyday watch I’d actually wear a diver, specifically a Seiko ISO diver, either a Turtle or a Samurai. That lets me bring in a dress watch (what you’d wear with a suit and tie, like the Orient Bambino 2nd generation or the Timex Marlin 34mm), and for a “fun” watch i’d go with one of the translucent G-Shock Bluetooth watches, like the GA-B001G ana-digi or the DWB-5600G black digital.
Appreciating the full disclosure in the beginning! That's rarer and rarer.
If I don’t have your trust what’s the point Alex! I’ve had a good experience buying from them so it’s a no brainer to carry on the relationship. Have a great weekend!
The Seiko is a great find. The others I can take or leave. That Seiko dial and dial arrangement is awesome. Great review Russ. A separate review of the Seiko would be fab
Brilliant, love it😂. Great selection, no I'm not going to even try especially when you've shown me the coolest kamasu ever, and a bargain basement seiko chrono(with sapphire) good hunt, awesome 👌
I like to see someone thinking outside the box great video mate
the Seiko is awesome
It is not a Kamasu. It is Kamasu II, the second iteration. The first Kamasu has rectangular indices, the second one rounded, except for 3, 6, 9 and 12.
I have a Pepsi Kamasu 2. One pf the cheapest watches in my collection and gets the most wrist time. Stunning watch.
I like the original Kumasu better. Round markers make it look like a Seiko. I like my Kumasu but not as much as my Seikos.
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Yes, you are right. It is like Toyota Corolla, few iterations exist, but still a Corolla. 🤣
thanks! i wondered about that. i had a Kamasu and remembered it looking different
Great work mate. What a collection for under £1000 🤯 great range at home, in the field or diving over in the orient, shows if you seek oh you shall find 😜 see what I did there. Take care my friend thanks for your awesome work 👊✊
"Super" my friend "Super " .
Great daring courageous choice .
With love and appreciation
Nizar
The Hamilton is on my list, I got the Seiko 5 field watch and now gone down a rabbit hole of field watches 🤣
I have the hamilton, its great wear it 24/7 unless I'm sleeping :)
Just got the same Kamasu with blue-green dial few hours ago and now it's in your video :D
Apart from the Seiko, Casio and Orient that's my exact collection!
My current collection:
Invicta Pro Diver: daily
Citizen Pro Master Eco Drive: dress watch
Casio DBC-11: alternative dress watch, for no-tie office-casual. Looks really good with slacks and a Polo.
G-Shock 9052: beater
Casio Duro: not currently in use--battery is dead. (Although it will make a good alternative beater/daily if I ever get it fixed)
Casio A500: Alternative daily--countdown timer is great for cooking, or waiting for a seat at a restaurant.
Lucky enough to have the rangeman already in black and in green. They are bulletproof watches. The Hamilton would be my next choice from the list. That thing is lovely. Great selection there.
@@jonclegg8903 It sure does, I love mine, I think it will be my daily this week
@@BulldogBadger massively under appreciate both of mine. They deserve so much more wrist time. Too many watches to have a go at now but it’s a good problem to have.
That Kamasu might just be my next watch, beauty!
Nice! I agree with Mrs. MWC on the Rangeman
DIVER: Citizen Promaster Pepsi (NY0086) on a blue single-pass nylon
BEATER: G-Shock GW6900
SPECIAL SAUCE: Seiko 7N43-6A09 Quartz from 1996 on a black leather strap
EVERY DAY: Steinhart Adventure Ocean 39 (Explorer clomage!) on stainless steel
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR no. They are just the main watches in my small collection. Enjoying your videos sir. Keep up the good work. Ha ha!
the wife's opinion part is always the best part to me :D :D
My beater is the DW291 HD with an AE1200 module swap.
Dress: Tissot Chemin de Tourelles
Diver: Seiko SKX (pre discontinuation prices) or Orient Mako II USA
All around: Casio Pro Trek PRW-6611
Great choices, I have a similar collection!
- Beater = GWM5610
- Everyday = Hamilton Khaki Auto 38mm (too lazy to manual wind haha)
- Diver = Kamasu (but with the shark teeth dial - I think it looks cooler than the sub hommage dial)
- Special sauce = Casio Royale =)
Great!!! But done using Jomashop website?!?! The 5610 would be my beater choice usually but it’s not available
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Ah I get what you mean! I have always been reluctant to use Jomashop because of international shipping and returns and customs :/
@@NorthernWatchClub They do have an option to prepay duty and taxes. I live in Vancouver Canada and I found that option was a bit cheaper. Just thought I'd mention it.
@@bogrot69 oh that's good to know (Montrealer here) I was just in Vancouver last week! Beautiful city :)
@@NorthernWatchClub Glad you enjoyed your visit! Not sure if you have ordered from StrapsCo. They have a fantastic selection of bracelets and straps and they ship our of Montreal.
The Hamilton gets GLOWING reviews from Mrs MWC, that means I have to purchase it now I suppose🤷♂️🤣
I enjoyed this review( as always). Woohoo! I feel so cool now, I’ve three out of the four..or does that mean I have a problem? 🤷🏻♂️😂
The Hamilton mechanical would be in any price limited collection... as long as the price limit covered the Hamilton. I would be inclined to add an F-91W and/or an Illuminator Electro luminescent (if you can find one) even if it wasn't from Jomashop. Great choices Russ.
The Orient Logo has old school 50/60s vibes - and 100% looks like the logo off a pack of cigarettes one's grandparents would have smoked!!!🤣
That said, I am an outlier who loves the Orient logo. 🤷♂️
LOVE the "click it" part
Good move Sir to avoid the quartz. I just had the pleasure of changing the battery on my Casio Edifice Efv-110d.
I'm already counting down the days until I do it again.
Oh, that sexy Seiko..honeycombs indeed..
Like the orient and the seiko but not so keen on the other two!
I know the videos sponsored by jomashop but a diver worth going for and on the second hand market is a squale they’re so cool.
Yes, No, Yes, Yes. The Hamilton let’s itself down with that lack of screw down crown. Great show. No Moonswatch?? 🤣🤣
hope to see u review seiko presage sharp edge 🙏
Nice collection, but I always prefer to have an ana-digi watch in any collection. :)
Beater - Casio 5600
Diver - Invicta Pro Diver Quartz
Everyday - Casio GM-2100
Special sauce - Bulova Moon Chronograph
Nice one Russ ! The Hamilton is probably the only one i would have purchased as the G SHOCK ...TOOO BIG! The Orient is a bit samey and i have already tons of those 70's Seiko ! . You are definitely knocking them out the park matey! keep it up! and as we say in THE KIX......AV IT!
Great choices. My collection is similar, but on the thriftier end (
Here's what I'd do using Jomashop:
- Casio GA2100-1A1 (Black Casioak): Nice beater for playing sports and such.
- Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical H69439511 (white dial): Core everyday piece. I prefer the white dial here to balance out the collection.
- Certina DS 2 Chronograph C024.447.11.051.02: HAQ Chronograph with great finishing and features at this price. The green accents make it pop a bit and this watch is just a steal at this price
- Orient Kamasu RA-AA0811E19B (teal dial): Diver. Same watch as yours but I think a collection needs a little color and the teal dial will be great in the summer.
Comes out a smidge over 1k at 1030$ but not gonna fuss over it. Your picks are really good and I had a hard time improving them but I still prefer mine due to the color choices and I think the Certina >>>> that Seiko. Good vid m8! Keep it up. :)
i would change the hamilton for a Seiko military, and invest the resto of money in a dress watch like a Seiko cocktail instead of the bonus one, but, from my point of view, is a very good choice for 1k, really good! thanks for this video!
“Comes from a pack of sigarettes”😂
Could you please review seiko 5 customized Campaign Limited edition SRPK03K1, thank you i love your channel
I have the 9400 Rangeman, it is an absolute monster, very large and solid. As a beater, I prefer my 5610 though, it fits better on the wrist
Could only buy from Jomashop my friend! That was the mission!! They don’t have squares on the website
Well done Russ.
Keeping it Japanese here:
Casio Oceanus S100: 425(a titanium bracelet Watch with world time zones, has tough solar with Gshock like tough movement protection, a super accurate solar stunna)
Gshock 5610: 125(daily solar multiband beaterific tool watch)
Seiko SRPE93 turtle: 375(classic mechanical diver)
Casio Royale: 25
Total 950.
Love the Oceanus... except its achilles heel - cant strap change. What were they thinking! So close to the perfect watch!
@@dellwright1407 agreed on the integrated bracelet, but mine is adjusted perfectly to fit great, and it does go well with the overall light weight feel.
This is a very sophisticated sales speech
Super-duper!
I could do lists like this forever, us men love a list 😆
From my collection under a grand let's go for the:
Beater: Gshock square (solar and multiband)
Diver: Seiko Arnie (solar diver)
Everyday: Cestrian Master Series
Bonus: Swatch Night Flight 🫡
Great selection but!!!!! Has to be from Jomashop!!!!! You can’t win this one;)
Just picked up the Rangeman blackout version for £179 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fun fact about that Seiko Macchina Sportiva: it was designed by legendary Italian auto designer Giorgetto Giugiaro! I have one in a blue dial. Fantastic!
g shock square solar -£110
Tissot PRX-£300
Divex Falcon 7-£100
Tissot LeLocle powermatic 80-£500
I still enjoy my dark green/teal Kamasu, the one with the sharp markers. Got it for around 200 euro, it's a great value for money. The newer version has some nice dial variants, but I don't like the round markers, I think the diver has lost it's distinct "aggressive" look because of them. The only thing they should've changed was the tiny crown. It's LESS comfortable to use then on my Vostok Amphibia.
Some good choices there Russell. I had the Rangeman until recently, fantastic watch if a little on the large side. The Seiko is impressive at that price. Personally I would swap the Khaki for an auto 38mm and the Kamasu for the larger but more solidly built Triton mini. The only thing I have reservations about is Joma shop. The customer service is supposed to be crap.
ive only had good experiences with Joma. Just make sure the watch is 'in stock' to guarantee fast shipping
Superb job very well rounded collection. Not sure it can be beaten. Plus who doesn't agree that a Hamilton khaki is a near perfect watch, your wife loved it. I was expecting you to select the 5600 as your beater watch but the rangemam has so much utility with its compass and sensors, can't disagree. From my own collection my 4 watch collection would be:
BEATER: G-SHOCK DW5600E-1V ($50)
EVERYDAY: Seiko 5 Sports SRP513 ($275)
DIVER: Seiko Samurai SRPB55K1 ($400)
Bonus: Citizen Promaster Air Nighthawk Pilot [BJ7000-52E] ($248)
Yes!!! If the wife thinks it’s the best then……;) thank you my friend!
I love the Seiko. My collection: Beater+Diver: Casio ae-1200-wh oil filled. My everyday: Doxa Sport (1963) . extra: Marvin Jumbo Bicolor (1950s).
That Seiko is gorgeous and the wife is absolutely right. It looks wonderfully racy. I am looking for a solar watch, but over 600 Euro for the Seiko Speedmaster is a bit steep. This might just do it.
Seiko arnie £420
Tissot prx £300
G shock casio Oak £80
Seiko 5 automatic £199
On Jomashop????
Just today my Seiko Arnie arrived here in Australia. I got it for £249.44!!!🤪👍🏼😎
Tissot PRX and Casio Oak are awesome watches and great values. Prefer the Powermatic and Casio Oak full metal (do it yourself than pay the premium)
