    I was having trouble figuring out why my all my calls would go straight to voicemail and i watched your video and went through the steps and figured out why it was DO NOT DISTURB. For some reason every contact was added to DO NOT DISTURB so I hit the minus sign and removed them and tried calling from my other phone and it worked. THANK YOU.

    Also, if your Roaming is off.
    Another big one is to check your Focus. If you have a Focus on, it will filter your incoming communications according to a White List. My wife’s iPhone automatically did this and she missed important calls because they weren’t on the White List that the iOS had created. The white list was only family members. I stumbled upon the problem almost by accident.

    My Do Not Disturb for a 2023 iPhone said "On." It wasn't a scheduling issue like the example here. It was that you can't turn it off in Settings. You must use the drop-down from the top right corner, then click or hold on the Do Not Disturb button until you can deselect it to off (it will just say "Focus" then. Why did Apple make it so convoluted to figure out why you can't receive a phone call?

    I have tried all of these tactics. Nothing has worked to stop another telecom from sending messages to my iPhone without my phone ringing and without a phone number of origin showing in the call log. I am sick to death of being harassed EVERY FUCKING DAY!

    • @AmZeeel
      @AmZeeel  Pƙed 2 měsĂci +1

      My friend, the only way to stop harassing is to change your phone number. When you block a number, your iPhone will not ring, but you will still get a voicemail message. No provider in the world offers a different option, unfortunately.

      @@AmZeeel Thank you kindly for your response. Changing my number and hoping that this doesn’t continue or happen again is more difficult in my situation for a variety of reasons which I am not at liberty to outline here. It’s unbelievable that telecom companies haven’t figured this out. They always brag about their fabulous technologies yet don’t seem to understand as much about their own computer systems and algorithms as they would have consumers believe. I believe that this is a glitch in the system of this particular company as the messages I receive give information about the carrier’s address, head office city etc, telling me that I need to call the number it provides to deal with an account I don’t even have. The number is the real phone number to the Credit Department of this company. When I’ve called, I reach this department. This cannot be a scammer. A scammer tries to get you to answer a call and then trick you into giving out personal info or send money. This doesn’t happen. I can never answer the call because my phone never rings and no number of origin shows up in my call list, so I’m not able to block any number. If this is a scammer, what’s the endgame here? That’s why I think it’s a problem with the company’s system. So far today alone, I’ve had three calls. This company’s messages fill up my voicemail, preventing other people I know from being able to leave a message. This harassment is unacceptable. These useless telecom CEOs wouldn’t like it if they were subjected to such appalling harassment, day after day. And as for the tech people who created these systems, they’re obviously not as bloody smart as they like to think and like to convince us. I know all too well that these useless techies wouldn’t like if they had to deal with kind of abuse either. Absolutely disgusting.

      @@AmZeeel Thank you for trying to help but I did discover a feature offered in the voicemail options provided by my cell phone plan carrier. It’s the extended absence feature, which also allowed me to leave a personalized outgoing message, but doesn’t allow anyone to leave a voicemail message, and advises those whom I know to text me instead. It has worked. I haven’t received any messages from the other telecom since I activated this feature. 🎉 The only downside is no family or friends can leave me voice messages. They have to text me if they want to get through to me. It’s been in place for weeks and at the end of this month I’ll deactivate the extended absence message and see what happens. If this effin’ telecom starts to harass me again, I’ll re-activate the extended absence feature and send a strongly worded letter to the president of that telecom company as well as a new complaint to the BBB. As for the tech support person of my cell phone carrier with whom I spoke after I had set up the extended absence message, he was so useless that he didn’t even realise that this option was available for customers. I had explained the problem and what had been happening to me for weeks, what I had found out about the voicemail options customers could use and why I was calling my cell phone carrier one last time due to wanting to ask for any further information or options someone in the tech department could explain to me. The tech fellow with whom I spoke thought I had downloaded a separate app and I had to explain the voicemail option to him, twice (!), before he finally understood what I had been able to do. Unbelievable! He’s in the tech department and didn’t know about the options this telecom’s voicemail system offered its customers?! How utterly pathetic. In the end, he couldn’t offer any more info. No kidding! I wasn’t surprised by his lame response. The people who create these programs don’t even fully understand the systems and programs they create, can’t problem solve because they can’t even find out what and where the problem is let alone figure out how to correct it! So busy trying to impress us all and make us feel stupid for not understanding these systems etc that they fail to recognise that there’s so much that they likely don’t understand and can’t control either! Again, how utterly pathetic! In my case, the saying that applies here is if you want something done right, you have to bloody well do it yourself! đŸ€š
