This is my first robotic vacuum. Have put off buying one for years but have wanted one. One thing people need to realize if they have never had robotic vacuums before is you can't expect a robotic vacuum to be as powerful or as good as my old canister with 10 horsepower motor and a separate motorized carpet beater bar. That being said I am really amazed at this product. Given that I only vacuum my house two or three times a year, one of the great benefits is that the robotic vacuum will do the high traffic areas daily and then the rest of the house three times a week. Immediately noticed how clean the carpet and the hardwoods looked. Because of the way my house is arranged, my old canister is stored up stairs in the bonus room and that means I have to haul that biotch up and down the stairs when I use it hence the reason I don't vacuum often. However my house is not as nasty as you would think because I don't have pets. I do however, have tons of scatter rugs where the hardwood floors are while in the back bedrooms I have wall to wall carpeting w scatter rugs. Was amazed at how the revo Q was able to navigate and go up and down/on and off the carpet and non carpeted areas. For example in the kitchen area I have several scatter rugs and I have those thick plastic mats that you stand on in front of the sink. The Q Revo Maneuvers up and over that thing and I don't know how. It even turns the mop on and mops it off if I have the mop plus vacuum function turned on. For rooms with just mainly carpeting or Oriental Rugs I select vacuum only but like the kitchen area is one area that I want to do a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Now the only issue I had was that if I do a full clean the docking station would not empty automatically. This was very frustrating to me and I was ready to send the product back. And then it just happened to occur to me maybe I should just try to do a couple of rooms at the time which can easily be accommodated through the wonderful app that roborock features. So if I break up the full cleaning into two or three separate parts of the house and have it go back to the docking station it empties automatically beautifully. Once I discovered this it's been Problem free. And speaking of the upstairs bonus room... it has a vinyl laminate floor and when I walk barefooted on it frequently the floor shows where I've walked . So I do a routine for bonus room on app with two tasks: the first task is a full vacuum on turbo plus mode, and then the second task is full mopping using medium quantity of water with the advanced pattern for deep cleaning. I'm telling you the floor sparkles and have the best time sitting up in the chair and just watching it go all around and do its thing. Nothing gives me any more satisfaction than sitting on my arse and watching my house get cleaned!
Love the minimal branding on this robot vaccum! Also, the dock on initial look seems bulkier but thankfully as you said it blended perfectly to your place. Will definitely check this out. 😁
This vacuum is great. Upgraded from S5, and it works very well. Rarely gets stuck, does all functions well, and easy to maintain.
Bought it. Love it! Like jumping 10 years into the future from the iRobot Roomba and Braava that I replaced.

How does it do with curtains? Does it finally realize it should go behind them or you still have to lift them up before you set it to vacuum?

Was going to go for this but it ran out of discounted stock quickly! Ended up getting s7 max ultra for 1k to sparkle ✨ up the place instead

The spinning mops should been on the S8 series instead. Dual rollers and better avoidance.
I'm assuming this means that this will be released in Australia. I contacted roborock recently and they didn't sound confident of releasing it here
How much electricity it consume
Interesting, first time hearing of the revo. Not bad priced if it really does perform nearly as close to the S7 or S8

I’ve had other Roborock robot ever since vacuum wars recommended the s4 years ago and I just ordered the q revo I roborock them and that’s why I’ll continue getting them until somebody comes out with one head and shoulders above the rest
Hi. Thanks for sharing this review. I have a couple of questions.
1. Does it have onboard water tank for mopping?
2. Can we add floor disinfectant to the water?
Yes for both
This revo looks like roidmi eva w its round rotating mop pads. Hopefully w less problems that roidmi eva is encountering
$1k for a robot vacuum is far from a budget option.
Considering all the features the price isn't bad. It's currently 750.
@@vespaman101 good or bad wasn't the subject of my statement... $800- $1k still isn't a budget option for most people.
@RJeezy55 budget is relative to the product. For a robot vacuum that does vacuuming, mopping, lifting mop pads, self empty, self clean, obstacle avoidance and automatic drying that's budget. That typically costs 1500 dollars.
