Music was not made in a vacuum, there's a story that it was, and is being birthed from every day.
Music, down to its genre, has context and indeed people and their stories.
If we know what these are, even to the slightest insinuation while speaking on the topic or playing the music style, we'd recognise the richness of what it is we are using, and with that allow ourselves to be transported to these times and places from which these sounds hail.
