Tape machines can be so sick for saturation. Timbaland often talks about how the drums on the asr-10 always sounded hollow so he would stack them then his mixing engineer would run the drums through tape machine at the volume just going towards the red, but only so far that distortion didnt occur, and the saturation it would put on the drums is what made Timbaland drums smack so hard. Studio looking real clean
appreciate it man! yeah the tape machines are dope I had to get one. Gonna definitely run some drums through it at some point probably straight out of the MPC so you get that double whammy of saturation and see what happens
Put the drums sound through the Mpc 2000xl to make them hit with that 16-bit! They will hit hard!

Hey Jack! Have you try sending midi out from FL to the Moog one? It will make it easier to remember what you played and you can then whenever you get it the way you like, you can sample or record it to an audio track. Overall, YOU GOT A FIRE 🔥 SETUP! I’ll go bananas with that setup. Keep up the good work!
When you dont record something, you can go “OPTIONS”-->”dump score log to selected pattern”
and then choose how long in past you want to retrieve data🤷🏻♂️
that is only with midi data I believe
