- The first mention of cosmopolitan was in 1930s cocktail books but modern Cosmopolitan was popularized by Iconic bartender Dale de Groff (New York)
He served Madonna at his bar and many magazines credited him as an inventor of this drink. HBO series Sex and the city also played a huge role in popularizing this cocktail in the late 90s.

i'm addicted to this content. even though the only cocktails i've ever made were mixing orange juice with szilvapálinka (bad idea), and mixing cola with wine (great idea)
fyi pálinka is a distilled spirit similar to vodka except they make it from fermented fruits (mostly peach-barack, plum-szilva, and grapes that were used for wine making-törköly) instead of potatoes giving it a very strong fruity smell and a very strong taste. whatever you do, never mix any kind of pálinka with orange juice or you will throw up like me and my friends in 9th grade

In my opinion the best one was the home version i always like the home versions becouse it's harder to make something budget friendly but still delicius than making a fancy with really expensi e ingredients.

Question! When infusing liquor, do you leave it on a shelf or do you let it soak in the fridge?
HI. I put mine in the fridge until I strain it. Although there's alcohol in it, the fridge method to me is safer. Don't forget to shake it once a day!!!

Hi Vlad, I tried the trick with the orange peel and lighter but I didnt get as many sparks and the peel disc ended up splitting in 2 when I squeezed it. What did I do wrong?
