Thank you guys for making the foot peg assy! Saved me the aggravation and time of doing it myself
Love it¡
Thanks Fernando. I’ll have a TOMOS outboard on the lookout for yah
As always tomos #1 . Go moto !
Also SEE : eCub by Mono Motorcycles in England .
Being that it's technically a Noped, not a Moped, you should absolutely offer it in both versions. Yes, it would take a bit of additional engineering to squeeze the pedal crank and a rear sprocket on the back wheel, but a rider would be able to point to the pedals if riding untagged or unlicensed. The ONYX RCR, the Monday Motorbikes Gen7 and Gateway, Huck Cycle Mopeds, etc all have pedals- not so much usable as an ebike- but for an emergency last-mile pedal.
electricmopedemporium will make you up a pedal box bolt-on assembly. Not fancy, but looks pretty good and works. If wanting more of a gear selection for actual pedaling... www.schlumpfdrive.com/ I believe there is an Asian manufacturer of Schlumpf (2spd) that sells their Schlumpf licensed knock-offs for a much lower price. Schlumpf has, I think, three different models, low, mountain, and touring. Also, Efneo (3spd) and FSA Metropolis Patterson (2spd). You'd need to make sure the bottom bracket is the correct size for these different crankshaft assemblies. Schlumpf has to be chamfered with a tool, they sell a tool, to fit correctly.
@@richardtaylor4292 Interesting, and good to know. I will definitely check out your leads. Yet, when I'm buying an electric moped ready-to-go as opposed to building one myself, having it already done and pre-thought out and engineered to work together is preferable to me.
I understood your point. But the “grey area” isn’t truly pedals or no pedals. It’s top speed. Working in pedals on a bike that goes 40 or 60 mph doesn’t make it a moped. Too fast. Legal mopeds need the pedals (in a handful of States... most don’t require pedals) AND they need to go less than 30 mph. *Some States less than 20 mph. So, what do we do with this? Ditch the pedals (they are truly useless anyway... last mile situation is nonsense... it’s far easier to walk it) We build a bike that goes 40mph, make it a legal “limited use vehicle” and people can safely and legally register and blast without the “work arounds” and “grey area” stuff that just puts people in danger.
@@MopedProblems And you can ship it programmed to an under-30 max speed, and allow the rider to go "off-road" unrestricted, as others have done. Hey, I am absolutely in your corner. I do stand by my encouraging thoughts of both a pedal-less moped and a w/pedal one offered. I absolutely love your videos and excellent editing. Cheers!
Im loving this! Can’t wait to see more video on these!
Good job guys, impressed and inspired.
Nice work. Waiting for the junk yard field hunt.
Next episode for sure. Really fun to shoot that one
Will u be selling frames, wheels, etc? A lot of interchangeable parts for tomos it looks like anyways
Ya'll have way too much fun.....Oh if ya need a beta tester, send me one out here to York Nebraska(old and retired)..... :)
Can't wait for mine!
Born during the same labor? I'm on team Twins. Or like quadruplets. I think it depends on the size of the litter.
Right?! I looked it up, technically they would be considered fraternal twins. But since it’s common place with cats and dogs, it’s NBD. (IMHO it’s pretty cool)
2 strokes forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO BATTERY POWERED TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🇺🇸 Looking Good! Can’t wait!😀🇺🇸
Converting to electric might be the only thing I can do for the Tomos moped because the whole dissapearing vin number and all! In Ohio you can't get it legal without the Vin but if an E- bike that's still unregulated here so we'll see! Either that or junkyard scrap!
Let me know, we have conversion kits available
450°F? I didnt realize that powder coating was done at such a potentially DIY temp!!
20 mins at 450 degrees. As easy as baking a cake
Are yall hiring? 35 yrs mechanic cars.boats motorcycles..
Currently have my own small bike shop doing restoration and repair 50cc-1.800cc bikes of every kind.
Where are you? FL?
Please tell me you didnt get rid of the Peugeot 103.
Nah it’s in here somewhere. I’ll make it a priority once things slow down. Still have all the parts for the overhaul. Definitely a video in the near future.
I can't wait to see the speed mods people will do to theses moto bikes.
Most definitely. The motor we use can do 48-72 volts. We are equipping it with 60v battery and controller. Someone is bound to do the 72v upgrade
lol how long did it take you to edit the 'baby crocodile' montage?
Long time. But it was worth it
@@MopedProblems Agreed! Good to see things are up and running down there. Stay safe!
I gotta have the first Moto in NM. I'm in too deep not to!
Hope so buddy! VIP shout out (Very Important Patreon) 😉
SABAT
here in Brazil, we are making great moped frames, we use 75cc two-stroke engines with dimensioned exhaust
I’d love to see that. What’s the brand? Where can I find them?
No wonder I cant find any steeetmate parts lol
Well... our bike uses O% Streetmate parts. The footpeg support bracket and chain guard WOULD work on a Steetmate and other TOMOS models, but we now build these parts in house. Soon, we’ll have these parts available on our website. If anything we’ll be bringing those parts back into availability!!
@@MopedProblems I guess I was confused ! I thought those wheelsand forks were from the streetmate
Beautfiul! American Made. Thats whats up!
I need a few frames!
What are you looking for?
@@MopedProblems ypur new production frames! I build ebikes,
Quite honestly I believe you might be more capable of building ebike s( mopeds) than onyx or monday motorbike, best Regards., this is my email address: please message me if you are able to sell me at least one moto frame ,gerardogama120769@gmail.com
How is Sabbah really spelled? However, a great guy!
I spell it SABAT. All caps 🧢
When I first saw the price I thought it was ridiculous, but seeing how much work you put into each bike I can't believe you can sell it for so cheap. Awesome work, dudes!
I think for the price youre getting a hell of a lot of bike. I feel like it definately is competitive with anything in that price range.
Thanks guys. It’s definitely months of work. Highest quality stuff we have access to. Down to the hardware, all stainless steel stuff... to quote my favorite movie as a kid... we spared no expense
Moped Problems Was that a Jurassic park quote by chance? When he was referring to the sophistication and technology of the park.
