It feels like both this version and the one made by awe are pretty good encore versions

Honestly. Imo it definitely can replace too slow
I can see a lot of major differences but the song is pretty cool and unique in its own way. Still it may be a lot different from Too Slow and I really think part of the community just can't take it mainly because their expectation for the song to stick to its original is too high plus they can't open up to anything new. The song literally has a new name and it is at its core a "remake", meaning a rework and alternation in terms of mixing, instrumental composition and possibly melodies or other elements, too.

yes, it tell you that its indeed too slow of rerun, it remind you of how good the previous version is and make you realize how bad this is
in the old version, the first part act as a kickstart to the hype of the second part, and it continue in second part as it goes from 1 to 10

What’s with all the hate? If anything, it’s good an exe project isn’t just going for the “too slow YCR triple trouble” formula. It’d be nice to still have too slow rerun, but this is definitely a banger. Y’all do you, the mod’ll still be amazing based on sprites alone if people hate on the songs.

The much needed improvement from Too Slow Rerun! I like how it doesn't have always have the annoying ass Too Slow chords (The ones that try to replicate the drowning theme) Although this mix could have a few more instruments at Sonic.EXE's part, but overall, WAY better than Too Slow Rerun!

While most prefer Too Slow RERUN over Hide and Seek, you have to admire the fact that they wanted to go a different route due to the amount of Too Slow songs and remixes in the community. It honestly gets repetitive and boring seeing just the same two words, Too, Slow.
So RERUN wanting to change things up and go with an original version of Too Slow makes me enjoy this one more than Too Slow RERUN. Both are very good, but this one earns more of my respect than Too Slow.
Also a quick reminder, there is a slight chance they might change it up a bit when RERUN is ACTUALLY finished and ready to be released.
Actually, that was not the reason they changed it. They changed it because it made the mod seem like a revival, even though thats not what it was, people called it a revival. This choice was merely to make it sound like its own song

V2 is good, mainly in that it still keeps the fast and pseudo-intense vibe of this one, fitting the character better. But V3 and V4 are just mid. This one is actually great, on the other hand.
Still upset this got scrapped in favour of good but better, and then two mids.
This song is a banger, but the vocals on the EXE part is sort of bad, but still good. The same can be said with the melody, but none the less this is still a banger as it is refreshing not to have too slow for the 500th time

I think a definitive hide and seek would be the first minute-ish of this one and the rest of v3/4/whatever the fuck the most recent one is (there's too fucking many of them) after it
i think that this is a little bit better than the first too slow. The instrumental in too slow was pretty empty, and in this song they did the exact opposite by making a filled instrumental, so yeah i think this is slightly better in terms of instrumental.
I mean don't get me wrong the 17bucks ones aren't that bad but gosh they get boring so quick compared to something like this that actually tries to have emotion

nah tbh this is a little bit better. The instrumental on too slow was very empty and repetitive. Hnd yes, Hide and Seek's melody might not be the best thing ever but the instrumental on this song is way more "full" with way more variations on it. i kinda enjoyed it more than too slow but i mean you're not wrong though, it isn't perfect, but neither was too slow. And in my opinion this has more ups than too slow
