“Spider-Man’s rogues gallery alone rivals Batman‘s rouges gallery.”
    No just absolutely, not.
The reason Batman’s rogues gallery is so good is because the most iconic of his villains challenges an aspect of Batman‘s character.
    Bane challenges strength
    Poison ivy challenges lust
    Riddler challenges intellect
    Scarecrow challenges fear
And Joker of course is anarchy, witch directly challenges Batman’s main goal of justice.
Spider-Man’s rouge gallery is good but saying it rivals Batman’s is laughable.

You’d have to do something spectacular to take him out without kryptonite, that or just fight him until he’s tired and like ~attempt~ to break his neck or something, it would require something like ultra instinct to get the job done

Not the comic book fans, the casuals are who you mean. Due to how Marvel movies have become such a phenomenon in terms of global reach and impact, people mistake casuals for comic book fans the same way casuals exist in every facet of popular culture. Someone may only watch Dragon Ball but not be a fan of anime or someone may like playing football but not actual be a fan of watching it or keeping up to date with transfer news, injuries and the way clubs are run. You're forgetting the most popular superhero movies before 2006 were Marvel characters. Ironically, around 2006 many people's perception of DC characters changed due to the Christopher Nolan films while the Sam Raimi films, Xmen trilogy, Spider-Man animated series, Fantastic Four movies and Ultimate Spider-Man comics would've brought in many young fans before 2006.

@Urban Student Prepper I have been a Cap fan since I read tales about him arriving like a beacon of hope to beleaguered allied troops on the battlefield or to people suffering under Nazi tyranny (such as his one time landlady Anna Kapplebaum whom he saved from the holocaust). He inspired me in ways that Batman never did such as my interest WW2 history and that he was the hero I felt the world needed against the Nazis who were real life villains that deserved taking down. More so than any rogues gallery of fictional villains like the Joker or Lex Luthor.
I'd say both heroes are fairly evenly matched on physical attributes and fighting skils. Batman has been cited as someone who is a master strategist and can come up with a plan to take anyone down if he is given time to prepare. Cap on the other hand is brilliant tactician who is able to quickly adapt to new situations and act accordingly. These different aspects can be seen in how in Batman v Superman Bruce had to beef up his training regimen, use an armoured batsuit and prepare a multitude of weapons to confront Superman. Whereas in the Avengers Cap is a man decades out of time who is thrust into a world he doesn't fully understand to face an alien invasion. He quickly assesses the best way to deploy his teamates to maximise their effectiveness and even manages to inspire the cops to follow his advice on how to manage the civilians. Cap is essentially Alexander the great a military leader who never lost a battle whilst Batman is Sherlock Holmes whose keen intellect can penetrate the most confounding mysteries. The former would be the one best on the battlefield the latter would be best to solve a riddle such as who killed Kennedy.
That said, I did enjoy the graphic novel in which Cap and Bucky teamed up with Batman and Robin in a wartime adventure against a Red Skull/Joker alliance and am looking forward to the upcoming Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson.

One thing I never hear people argue about, in regard to villains in DC versus Marvel, while they're both equally thoughtful in their development, one thing is never addressed: Marvel villains tend to believe they're the protagonist, and there is a good deal more gray morality involved.
While this is not written in stone, with characters like Mr. Freeze having a good - if selfish - intent behind their pursuits, Marvel villains tend to see themselves as doing what is necessary - even if it could be considered evil - to do a greater good.
Think not? The pursuit of the Anti-Life Equation, for instance, is more about domination than about what's best for the universe or multiverse as a whole. While Thanos' goals in the comic book were remarkably different than the cinematic version - impressing Lady Death by inflicting death in the comics to court her, versus wiping out half of all life to preserve the other half - and the finite resources they have at their avail - it shows that Marvel has never been afraid to alter key motivations to make a villain more compelling.
Joker, the one that's seen as so iconic, only wishes to feed chaos and nurture his own desire for amusement. Riddler wants to selfishly test his mental mettle against the world's greatest detective. Lex Luthor legitimately sees Superman as a threat, but ultimately is also about domination and control of the world around him, subverting will rather than altering the landscape to benefit Mankind.
This is a limitation of many of the DC villains and, while momentary motivations may take precedence in any given moment on a microcosmic level, they tend to be less flexible, and more obviously evil even under more rigorous examination.
I made mention of the cinematic Thanos' motivations for just this reason: the original motivation he had doesn't hold up as fantastic storytelling, especially as a retrospective, and while the war for the Infinity Gems is cool to the mind of a child, it seems much more empty and hollow when you look back on it with older, wiser eyes. Some might disagree in this regard, but I believe the rewriting of Thanos' motivations in the cinematic version are far superior when it comes to storytelling, and creating a more compelling, more believable character.
I think this is something that's important to consider when comparing the quality of villains in both universes. Almost every DC villain either wants chaos, domination, subjugation, or control. Marvel villains have a tendency to be trying to create a better world, but the method and means by which they intend to do it are morally gray or black.
