- I watched the 1996 film, The First Wives Club, starring Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, Maggie Smith, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ivana Trump, Stockard Channing, Marcia Gay Harden, Dan Hedaya, Stephen Collins, Victor Garber, and so many others. This film caught me by surprise! I was fully prepared for it to only be an oath to feminism, but it truly turned out to be a very funny, clever, female empowerment of a film! I loved it!

Yay! No one does this movie and it's so good. The novel is better, but I still love the movie so much.
This is such a great movie and who can beat that cast! I agree Maggie Smith is magic whether she plays a regal role or the old lady living in a van!!
Bette Midler is my absolute favorite!!! She’s fabulous!
I love the scene at the cafe where the catch up with each other! It’s the perfect scene to get to know the characters and their friendship 💗
SO happy someone FINALLY did this movie, because it's so friggin' good! Love it.
One of my favorite movies since childhood! I even got my college girlfriends pearl necklaces as graduation gifts (they weren’t quite as nice as the ones in the film, but it’s the thought, right?)
Right! :D I love that! :D
Thanks for the fun reaction to this film! Such an incredible cast! Huge Maggie Smith fan. If you’ve never seen her first Oscar winning role, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, I highly recommend it and hope you will maybe even react to it.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I was searching just a couple days ago to see if anyone had reacted to this great movie and didn't find any. I LOVED this when it came out, ,and every time I've seen it since.
And a fun bit of trivia: The three "first wives" were born within 45 days of each other, and all three celebrated their 50th birthdays during filming. Just so fitting
Thanks again, and I do love your take on things. Looking forward to more.
Bette Midler has been my idol since forever and this film is truly important and also fun!
Wonderful reaction to this fabulous film! So much fun, feeling, and frippery! I appreciate all that you do and all that you are Blessed Bee
Thank you so much :D
"Rizzo" 😆 🤣 😂
Stockard Channing deserves more notice.
"Social climbers on the rise" has to be one of my favourite lines of all time.
Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn & Diane Keaton,It Doesn't Get Any Better Than That,Love This Movie
If you liked this film.. I'd recommend the film "Book Club". Diane Keaton in a similar film about women much later in life discovering "Fifty Shades of Grey". I thought I would absolutely hate it but the cast is just so likable.. it's a worthy spiritual follow up.
I'll write it down :D
@@katreacts6843 I second this!!
12:58 Even if she wasn't supposed to be counselling Gil over his commitment issues, the fact that she's counselling Annie over her self-esteem would mean that her having an affair with Gil would cause her to get fired.
"Undercover Blues" - another great 90s comedy!
Undercover Blues has been my secret movie indulgence - everyone I know thinks its corny, but I just love it - especially Stanley Tucci's role!
OMG 4 minutes in and I already love you, you have earned a new subscriber ❤️❤️❤️Also this is one of my Favorite Movies!
Thank you :D
Best movie ever... I looooove you react to that!! Thank you so much!
Have a great day and enjoy your week end and your day😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
9:05 🤣🤣 I love Annie!
Better Midler is real good at expressing her eyes
Fantastic reaction! This is one of my favorites ❤
24:48 When in doubt, just use the Jackie O card - from what I can tell whether she was Jackie Kennedy or Jackie Onnassis she was seen as the personification of elegance and class.
All Of My Favorite Actress In The Same Movie, Classic
The movie is really good, but the book is really enjoyable too. Quite a bit different from the movie, but very empowering.
Kat--whether you do an official reaction to it
or not, you should check out Cassie Jaye's
documentary "The Red Pill", which explores
the misandry that's resulted from
the unchecked excesses of feminism.
I would love to see them together , however they are older and if I’m not mistaken Goldie may be retired. There could be a great sequel showing how they helped women broken down by their narcissistic ex spouses.
All 3 women are awesome together...hoping they'll work together again someday.
Some fun movies each has starred in: Wild Cats 1986 where Goldie is a high school football coach, Outrageous fortune 1987 is a good Bette Midler comedy..and Baby Boom 1987 where workaholic Diane Keaton is left a baby after a relative passes.
I love this movie 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Absolutely am so excited to see a reaction to this movie! Thank you!
Such a great movie. Glad you loved it.
love this film watched it nearly everyday as a kid
Nice to see someone react to this!
The novel is much darker but i love them both xx
Fun fact about the guy who plays Aaron… he’s not only an a$$ in this movie, but he’s also an a$$ in another movie with Bette Midler called “Stella” (1990). Very emotional rollercoaster about a mother daughter relationship. But basically he hits on Bette Midlers character until she agrees to go on a date, and a few dates later she’s pregnant… so he’s really good at being an a$$hole
Very happy you liked the movie!
You should watch the witches 1990 and the addams family 1991 and 1993 you’ll love ❤ them
OMG! I could swear I saw Susan Sarandon cameo in the Bar Mitzvah scene. I don't remember noticing that before. Was it really her?
Nice Reaction Sweetheart
Had to say, I love that sheer shaw/cover you're wearing (at least the part I can see) ❤🔥🔥🔥
Thank you :D My husband got it for me, I absolutely love it, especially during this extreme heat we're having here in the UK right now.
@@katreacts6843 I hope you all are staying safe (and hydrated) over there.
@@johnmoreland6089 so far, so good. I'm alive at least, that's a win in my books :D
@@katreacts6843 he has excellent taste 👌 Have a fantastic day!!
Cool reaction as always Kat, how about reacting to Jawbreaker (1999), take care sweetie 🥰
It's a great cast
Yes yes yes. One of my favorites 💖💖💖
Hey Kat, it’s been a while, please watch Legends of The Fall. You won’t be disappointed! Great reaction, so proud of you!!💝
1:55, I know you don't react to TV shows, but Stockard Channing is one of the many good things about The West Wing.
Then again, you may have watched it all, and hopefully agree.
I have and she is just a sensation, as always :D

I love this movie:)
How's it going?
This movie is an absolute FOREVER classic! However….. you missed reacting to one of the best parts of the film, watching it to the VERY end. The rest of what you missed reacting to that I would LOVE to see you react to is this part of the ending you missed…..

Diane Keatons constant screaming got on my nerves when I watched it when it came out.
Although the movie presents itself as a ''hear me roar'' feminist statement, its view of humanity - both male and female - is so sour and artificial that the women characters come off almost as badly as the men do.
