I will go for the individualism. Why individualism? I came alone from my mother's womb and even if I were to have a twin, even twins have different aspirations, and a whole lot. How can ones life revolve around the community. The community makes up the people as a whole and for that each member of the community has it's right, freedom and a whole lot. So therefore one's actions, or decisions should not be influence the right of decisions hence infringement happens.
What will the communitarian thinker say to that? Who will ensure the full realization of those rights? Are rights possible without options? Who offers the options? Is community optional to the supposed individual? See the personism argument and let's hear your thoughts in class.
I will go for the individualism.In a way that ,why would my right as an individual affect others in a community when example I change my way of dressing which goes wayward to the communities way of dressing. What will make the members of the community copy my new of dressing which isn't in accordance with the community. Is it that the community failed to trained some of its members and so they also changed their way of dressing to follow mine.And also is it that my new way of dressing came to meet some interest of the members of the community? This is because some will copy my new way and others will not .So I think it all depend on choices of the individual. So the rights of individual does not really affect the community as a whole.
Talking about the point been raised about the school perspective .but then you're in another person's community so you should also respect their autonomy there. If not you should go your way.
