You're 100% correct. My nearest track is 2 hours away. Gas for my truck is 200, gas for bike 50, track fees 200-400, food, water, gear, wear and tear etc and it only gets more expensive the better you get. You'll need slicks, tire warmers, a generator, You'll wear out your tires in 1 day! ... it is a rich people sport!
I definitely agree. Before the weekend's over you're pushing $1k. If you were to go twice a month, that's over $20k a year.
my nearest track is also 2 hours away. gas is not going to be $200 mate, i drive big diesel track i would average spending probably one full tank there and back which is about $60. on an average track day you would spend probably $20 fuel.
you do not need slicks or tire warmers, or a generator. and brand new tires would probably last you 3-4 track days. I understand it's expensive, track days are about $220 where i'm at. but it's really not that bad.
Can get very expensive - as far as you can dream. But you can also scratch with the: rung what you brung; there’s definitely an enjoyment to be had at all increments of what you can afford.
It’s a shame it’s not more accessible. It’s good to feed your system even if you only do it a couple years.
Rich man’s sport.
@Racer X people. Cuz girls like track too.
And the scenery riding through twisty canyons is a million times better than 99% of tracks
Very true. 3 miles of zigzagging back-and-forth. 🤤
@@Gixxerbrah When are we going to see a video of you winning at Deal's Gap?
Exactly,I'd get tired of riding the same track everytime.
Philip Island
I can't change your mind, I can only reinforce what you've stated.
Track day daily fee: $245 with membership, $275 non member
Round trip to the nearest track is 731.6 miles / 31 mpg using the ALH to tow: $99.592 in diesel
Hotel: $76 one night
$725 for one weekend, not counting wear and tear
Just discovered there is a closer track than Grattan in Wisconsin, which is 424.6 miles roundtrip, or $57.8 in diesel. Unfortunately that track is $330 non member compared to $275. Brings our new total up to $792 for the weekend, however it does knock off over 4 hours of driving.
Add in tires and the cost to mount them.

This needs to be said more, so that tracks can hopefully change this reality and create a more diverse customer base.
"Poor people bring poor maintained bikes that will spew oil and anti freeze everywhere, we have to charge exorbitantly high fees" - local track manager
@@hewasdeadwhenigotthere46 Well then it sounds like we need stricter evaluation of the bikes that enter the track, not a higher bar of cost that prohibits people from enjoying the track, there for only making them have that fun out on the streets where they could hurt someone else.
They probably determine their rates based off their overhead costs.
@@hewasdeadwhenigotthere46
Trash Tax may be one element of the cost but I hardly think it’s a big one. Maintenance on the track surface and grounds alone are going to be thousands a month plus all the employees and taxes, etc. I have a hard time believing they would need to add much if anything to the necessary cost so stay in business to filter out the lower classes.
No it doesn't. Keep the rif raf off the track
It is indeed a rich person's sport.

Same for cars. Everyone is quick to tell you to "take it to a track", but happen to leave out the $40,000-100,000 membership fee many road courses require now days. My entire fleet of vehicles aint worth that, how am I supposed to come up with that to race them "legally"? Even if I did have the funds available, soon as I do a burnout somewhere on the track, I'll immediately get black flagged and kicked out, right back onto the streets.
exactly, i race back roads in my cheap non sports car because im broke and cant afford to go to the track. when im driving a porsche people can tell me to go to the track, but when im in a nissan sedan i dont wanna hear it lmao
I have a C5 vette that would be nice to tear up the Autobahn Country Club road course with. But I can't afford or justify $50k up front costs + reoccuring membership fees to race a $10k car -_-

@@racerx3669 no
Look up a local autox. Usually $30-$40 for a race day, super fun and you can go spin out and really see how hard you can push your car without wrecking into a pole or something. Depending on where you are too a lot of clubs do races ON actual tracks, or big ass air fields where you can really get moving. Still go romping on it for street screwing around, but you’ll get way more skills and some of the hooligan demons out.

Ride your own ride brah, no one can do it better!!
13:40 “wait fer MEEEEEEEE” had me dying brah😂 energy is unmatched
I make considerably more than the national average, around 65k before taxes. I cannot afford often track days, insurance, tires, brakes, equipment, oil changes, clutches, costs for the day at specific track if you look at the costs of wear items and all associated costs it is far too expensive for me to even go monthly let alone as often as I want to hoon around. I will stay consistent on the street and be as safe as possible while still having fun. stay safe bros.
its insane to me how out of reach it is for the average human being to do things "properly" n then everyone and their mother looks down on you for not shilling out all your cash for a hoity toity experience
@@silaidey no joke man its crazy, like yes a track day every now and then is great but i like having a comfortable savings account to not blow on a new set of tires and brakes after a few weekends but i guess there are people who can afford that and good for them, im not knocking it. but the average person just can’t afford it

To get the air bubbles out of your brakes tie the lever down overnight, it usually lets all the air bubbles climb out.
Be careful out there everyone, my coworker passed away earlier today after a car hit him while riding his cbr1000r last night. He was a cool dude, always in a good mood and always loved talking anything motorsports wether it be cars or bikes.
Yep. Track is pricey, but you get to go home after
I make 100k a year and those prices still don't sit well with me... It would REALLY have to be a major passion to justify the cost.
Biking is a major passion loll
Bro ended the video basically going 180mph
LOL gotta love this guy
I completed in a few AutoX events, and it's expensive. Tires, brakes, oil, engine wear, fees, memberships, and other stuff I've missed. Easily a rich man's sport, but it can be casual. Maybe one or two track days a year, and you're good.
EDIT: Every time I drive my ricer. 12:06
I saw you ridding around Fort Worth yesterday. Always great seeing you killing the game. Keep it up be safe
Wow im glad im not the only one who feels this way. I do pretty alright and was thinking of going to the track and once i looked into it i realized i would never recover financially
Some tracks are cheaper than others, and if you live close, it really isn't that bad at all. Some of the smaller ones can easily be under 200$ a day. I've gotten track days for 100$ a day before due to sales.
But i feel sorry for the guys who's closest track is 6 hours away and costs 350$ a day. As soon as you have to "stay the night", expenses start to really add up.
I stopped riding along time ago
But theres something about weaving thru traffic at super speeds that u can never get exept on the street.

I AGREE THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE
13:35 is why we love you brah
Totally agree, if you watch Casey The Car Guy (Casey Putsch) he also talks about how racing cars is only for the millionaires, you essentially have to burn money to race, and in pro driving, it's not necessarily about skill, it's more about social media personality, money, and politics of the drivers.
Brah coming in on my lunch break perfect every time
"take it to the track" why would he? Look at his views, 120k for going 180mph on the highway, 43 to 65k for the track videos. Plus he has to pay track fees. Gixxer I hope you stay safe, what you do is dangerous but you obviously already know that. You're a hell of a rider, thanks for the videos.
I’m simple man I see breh upload I hit like I enjoy every second
glad you did this video brah, see it coming on first track day and I totally agree with you. Plus track riding is just mechanical riding, there is no real buzz like the streets.
Sick video just like always. You're a freaking beast.
I started wheelying 2 months ago because of your videos. Mt07. I can do sit down, knee knocker and stand ups. I dont chase them as of about a week ago. I see now why you do it! Soooo addicting
Even just getting to where I tapped the brakes twice while chasing it out made me happy today. I was mostly practicing keeping my foot on the brake pedal, because I developed a really bad habit of spreading my legs out like a Texas gunfighter on my duel sport since you had ages before the front wheel lifted up and could use just throttle (and I wasn't doing more than baby wheelies with it anyways), but you can't do that safely on high powered machines. I need to get a stunt cage before I do much more (plastics cost like $1k for my new ZX-6R, the $500 stunt cage is cheaper).
Ayo. Just wrecked my bike boys
Rip
Ngl when your yelling while zoomin it reminds me of neebs from the battlefield friends so much 😂

Damn that last 30 seconds 🤣🤣
Also love that outro screen/music
These the gixxer brah videos I came for! Talking to us while Street killing!
I love when Brah posts a vid lol I’m on this 11 seconds after he dropped this
Absolutely love the new outro!!!!❤️
Cool to see you riding through my old stomping grounds down Beach St. Family moved there back in 1987, I remember when Beach St. was one lane, its amazing how much its developed.
Another big problem with tracks is that they are usually far away, in the middle of nowhere because of the noise, then some idiot developer buys land around the tracks, causing the new home owners to complain about the noises to the city, then they shut the tracks down. I feel like state and city governments should actually encourage track use by making it accessible to keep the wreckless driving off the streets.
Track fees are like golf course memberships, except your golf cart does 150mph and wheelies. (Still to expensive for us common folk)
Two reasons I love Gixxer brah videos: (1) Such great, fun, entertaining riding (2) it means brah is still alive
Great video my bruh, I'm glad you decided to go back to street ripping, it's a lot better than the track 1 you may have rules but they are not as stupid as the tracks rules.! #2 you can find more straight stretches and go as fast as you want. AND you can do WHEELIES!!!!! At least you won't get find when your out there!!! But it's just a lot more funner riding that way, total freedom!! Did you happen to see a few segments of the way the riders that rode the Laguna track,if so what did you think about it??!! I really liked this video just like being back to normal love the fact that you sped by that other rider on the freeway!!!! Love your wild and CRZAyyy ways, love love love it, love it all my bruh man!!! G.B your the choisest biker on CZcams!!!! Enjoyed the video/expert analysis of track days. It’s expensive, but well worth it if you can swing it. Much safer, at least as much fun…you did well, stick with it!
It is exhilarating watching you ride. I cannot wait for the day that I'm able to experience this.
"Cutting cars like cakes" hell ya brah lol
Yup! That, combined with how far away from me the track is, is exactly why I don’t do it. Too much money and too much of a time commitment, I have a lot of other things I’m into.

The real g bruh is back
yea its unfortunate how expensive it is. reminds me of my paintball days. everyone in gear, sweating their asses off, everyone's got their weapon of choice, no one can really afford to be there, etc.
Yes track riding is crazy expensive.
But you need to go to the track every once in a while.
You will never be able to ride you're machine to 10/10's on the street.
Having one way traffic and a prepared track, no gravel in the corners, and labeled count down braking zones.
You'll never know how far you can actually push your bike and tires with out a closed coarse.
For me in Central Ohio tracks are about $250/day.
Tail of the Dragon is about $200 in gas round trip. I'd much rather go to Deals Gap and cruise around for however long I want.
woah great video like always
Preach Brah !!!
Lol it's cold. I been out riding when it's +55degrees for a month.
You're 100% right, and add to the other expenses the wear and tear on your bike, including the tires. I saw a video once where I guy crashed a BMW S100RR. The bike was destroyed. The guy was almost crying. Another video I saw were guys racing around in their little family sedans at a track day in Europe. There were a number of smash ups and I know what my wife would have said if I had taken the family car to a track day and smashed it up. Hopefully in your case you get the CZcams income to offset your expenses.
Yeah, bro, cuz nobody ever wrecks their car or bike on the street its just those people on racetracks....
Haaaa ha ha ha ha! I love you bro! Why dont you go to the track? "do da do da dah dah doo, dummy". You crack me up!🤣Thats the truth man, we just normal guys trying to get any little bit of enjoyment out of life! We lucky to have a bike and gear!
The decel pops while you’re doing a wheelie is amazing
Crashing on the street and having 3 surgeries is a rich mans sport 😂
Imagine crashing on the track after paying all the money to get to the track and still have to pay hospital bills… still more expensive to go to the track.
It is important for a serious sport-bike rider to sharpen his skill at the track once or twice a year....but the truth is that the track-heads who criticize guys like GB for not tracking is because they don't have the skill or sack to ride like him on public streets. That's an uncommon mental and physical ability that is separate from circuit racing.
I did that Brah, years ago in Henderson Texas at Oak Hill Raceway. I won a few races and took second a third a few times on my 1988 GSXR 750💪👍
It's ADDICTIVE ☝️
Id just do wheelies 24/7 on that bike and not stop til every fish in the local sea area has been conquered
We have an outdoor gokart track in Denver that allows bikes 365 days/year for $50/day. You can ride whatever you want but a 600 is pushing it due to the size of the track. It's affordable and way more accessible if you're in the Denver area
10:55 lmaoooooooooo the filthy streets 😂😂😂
You make the wheelies look so easy brah!
I agree completely man. Big difference in the videos, and even though of course I want more content forever, yea I like the speed but I want the content creator to stick around and keep the videos coming 😂 so not every video has to be red lining 6th gear lol you can stunt too and its fun to watch. Keep up the great videos.
The nearest track to me is 4.5 hrs away. Used to live close to one, and that one still was 1.5 hrs away.
another great vid brah
just starting trying to get into track to keep myself out of trouble and I'm making good money but on top of living cost and bills I can afford like once a month at most
“Cuttin cars like cakes” 😂
Facts Gixxer..there so much talent that got blown in the wind because of bucks..Peace ,Godspeed brah..
Been there done that mr scamman..now gtfoo brahs channel
It doesnt have to be your whole life, or at a place like eagles canyon. My 'local' track is less than 200 a day, free electricity & camping. But its not a replacement for the street, just an addition for anybody that wants to be faster (in corners not straights)
I'm glad you back on the streets lol be safe out there
You are speaking the truth. Can't even afford my insurance as is these days.
Wait until you get fast enough on track to burn up a $270 tire every 2 track days
I bought an airplane and got my pilots license for about the price of 20 track days😂😂😂
Totally agree with you, but you earned infinite respect points in my book for going and experiencing it. Every track is different and costs can vary too.
Still recommend no matter your background or interest, going at least once or twice is worth it.
I love the progression Haha
Been watching your channel for a little while now. Although I don't condone riding the way you do on the streets, I can understand your sentiment about track riding. It's unaffordable for the solid chunk of us. Besides, who wants to spend their weekend hanging out with a bunch of snobs and trust fund babies? I certainly don't. I grew up around those types in Scottsdale.
If I still lived in the DFW Metroplex, I'd probably be down to ride with ya. Just don't expect me to keep up! :P I will get to where you're going 10 to 20mins after you do. Keep the fun loving content coming and do be safe out there!
That ending was phenomenal!
"take it to the track" really means => "your poor and im rich soo that means im better than you"
The true essence of a bike is being on the bleeding edge of a blade and racing on the freeway is a perfect manifestation of that.
They might be rich but they dont put their balls on the line, dont know how much respect I have for someone like that.
"I gotta get home and put the kids to bed..." ROFL!
Just remember most of us subscribed to you because of your riding style, and your love for riding the streets, not for laps around a track, I’m not the least bit interested in watching yammi noob unless he is hosting the Gixxer Brah.
