The reason it was rounded out is because a Phillips # 3 was used, the correct bit is JIS 3 (Japanese Industrial Standard).
I tried so many things and this worked like a charm !
Your cold chisel method worked for me, thank you!
Bro your a lifesaver!!
Simple solution, try impact drive, if doesn't come out, drill it out and replace, its a cheap .50c screw, no need to waste time with different methods.
Thanks you are a life saver
Another good idea if you don't have the patience for this, you can literally just take a big hammer and beat the back of the rotor until the screw either comes loose or breaks
Won’t you need to buy a new rotor though?
@@fyb3x890 yes. I forgot to mention that you should only do that as a last resort
Bro just saved me after almost a hour of drilling with titanium 1/4 drill bit😭
If the rotor has the threaded holes to run a bolt in to pop off the rotor, I normally use that to pop off the set screws as well. They will fly off fast so watch your eyes. I'd only do this if I was going to be replacing the rotor as this method can sometimes crack the hat on the rotor.
It would be nice living in an area where the threaded holes actually work. In eastern Canada, those threads are not strong enough to pull off the rotor
This is actually the trick I was looking for but I've seen before and did not remember
Your fire alarm is going flat, don't forget to replace the batteries XD
I just drilled the stuck ones out and tossed the others. Didn't replace them.
Or how about you just get a hand impact drive & if that doesn’t work just drill it through with a bit & get rid of it
Do you just drill it all out and take off the rotor that way?
Why the hell do they put these screws here. Can you just leave them out?
I get that these screws are used on the assembly line but they are a pain in the a$$ to get out
just drill it
To much talking
