He said that in our country, we use the terms (negro/negra) loosely. That's why he was shocked at first when he got to the US, but he understands now (FYI: his stepdad, bro anji, younger sisters are black). He does not like the term (or name calling) too. He understands because he felt discriminated when he was called tisoy in the Philippines. Sad to say, colorism exists in our country too. That's why we call our darker skinned siblings names like "negro/negra/negs". We pass it off as a joke or even as a term of endearment but those words can be disciminating simply because we are pointing out what makes that person different from us. Ez did an awesome job in putting emphasis on topics that matter while giving us great music!
At this point , after like 40 listen , i ask myself if it is lip sync . His voice sound/space drastically change at the ending speech (and his voice on the back saying something , like voice has been pre recorded) , you can clearly hear that .So i've listen n watch it carefully , i see no tension in his neck/throat and the camera was always moving , often from front where you can't see the mouth movements . Love him anyway.
