"Real jobs that matter ".....dude has legit self awareness.
C Burkens dude, I totally agree! It’s nice to actually see a actor admit that. Jake is very humble.
yup, I like actors that are down to earth and understand they are in the entertainment business, which is fine! but it gets annoying when they overplay it.
That's a humble statement from him and true much of the time, but let's think about how boxing is a real job that matters 🤔 compared to acting. IMO acting matters more (I'm biased though).
One of the most sincere things I've seen an actor say.
Jobs like punching people in the face? Really important onces I see xD
he was crazy in nightcrawler
forreal bro! One of my fav performances from him... Next to prisoners. Jake is one hell of a actor
He was crazy good!
druha10304 Literally
Nightcrawler is the film that made me realize what a great actor he is.
druha10304 spoilers
Humble as fuck
Howard completly hiding himself from the camera because jake is so handsome ...lol
Amazing actor and always seems so humble and charismatic in any interview ive seem him in. Nightcrawler is such a bad ass film and one of my faves of his. Would love to see him in a film directed by Tarrantino or Scorsese
Dude went from niche/ ok actor to real gem of character leads. Didn't want to like him but he's killing it lately
When there are millions of dollars coming your way, somehow you find the desire to train hard.
that's right lol. give me a million dollars see how fast I become unlazy to workout
+Had Enough I kinda always have the desire, mindset bro
+Had Enough Yah true and I guess the desire to upkeep your reputation by looking really ripped on screen and boxing convincingly helps too!
+Had Enough 100% agree
If you can't find it for the process alone you're just pathetic
8 miles a day.... fuck
Tgfff
8 miles a day isn't much, your body adjusts to the exercise. The hard part is being patient and consistent, and the trick is to never push too hard but to let your body grow around what you're doing.
Matt Kelly lol 8 miles is nothing
Matt Kelly bro i cycle 9 miles everyday and yes it sounds hard but its not that bad when your body gets used to it
??? 8 miles a day isn't much lmao
" People assume I've been hit on the face" I felt that
I am balding and so envious of this guys hair.
One of my. All time fav movies
Actors get into incredible shape because that becomes their job.
Would love to see a movie completely focusing on this training and progress. A kind of 1.5hour Rocky-Training movie. No acting, no story, just watching him training and evolve...Damned this would be awesome :D
Epic actor! And Southpaw! Omg what a movie!
“People assume I’ve been hit in the face” 😂
Jake is a chill dude
Hes just a ridiculously good guy.
Underrated performance in Prisoners
I like how candor
What kind of training did he do for Bubble Boy?
+titoortiz ah, we got a regular comedian over here
Matt Leonard
thank you, i'll be here all week.
no surprise there, since you probably have no life at all haha
Matt Leonard
awe, we got heckler in the crowd. You want the mic?
i think you broke it when you dropped it...
I really like Jake G. He's dope AF! He seems like a total professional also.
I like his aura (Y)
1:49 - lollllll
I adore him !! ❤️ He is so funny and seems to be totally realistic !! 👍
Please, guys, bring back some form of Howard TV. It's torture to see these little clips!
I loved southpaw man
His Hair and beard is on point!
He was running "8 miles"
I do 10 miles daily, the rough part is the 1st half mile, after that it's light work.
Yep dragging your ass out there to actually do it is my hard part. Once I get going it's all good.
so true... the hardest part is starting.
RareAirTwo4 exactly, first mile you're trying to find that tempo. After that it's just however long you wanna go.
No it’s not
I know its been 2 years but do you find sone track where its all flat or you go uphill and downhill
What a cool guy!
Its not the 1-2 hour work out that makes a difference. Its the other 23- 24 hours on what you eat.
Stop consuming alcohol, refined flour, refined sugar. Or as some say ABC.
(Alcohol, bread/pasta, cheap carbs)
As far as I know they never took the the cameras out of the studio. They have a shit ton of footage just collecting dust
By far the most underrated actor in Hollywood today.
i love this guy!!!!
Mr. Stern and Robyn and family...
Mr. Gyllenhaal great job
Great film..
8 miles of running a day. Yeah I'm never gonna be in this good a shape
I like you Jake. Howard Stern is awesome too. !!
he’s so hot sometimes i feel like crying
I'm in love with Jake Gyllenhaal. That's it.
The most diverse actor working today - Brokeback, Nightcrawlers, Prisoners, Jarhead, Nocturnal Animals. Pick any of these and think of someone who could've done a better job
is howard tv back? how do they have video of these new interviews?
Jake’s a cool dude
So there are video cameras again in the studio? What's the plan?
Max Ashburn I was just thinking the same thing. They cleared out the main TV crew because I guess Howard TV wasn't making money? But I guess they have a skeleton crew that flips the switch and does some editing still.. I was afraid they had completely stopped recording the interviews which seemed insane to do right near the end of his career. I've heard him occasionally hint that they're going to do something about offering the video content on some new platform after he makes his decision at the end of this contract. Good to see someone is still pressing record though!
“there are a number of actors that should get hit” lmfao
And did you spaaaaaaaare with people? yeah. OH WOW
lol.
How'd ya train for broke back mountain
My favorite actor
Nice camera on Howard
And I took a bucket of Winstrol....
Didn't Howard quit because he was taking a moral stand?
Jake s the best actor in hollywood..
Look at him
HE GOT THAT BODY IN 5 MONTHS!!!!
My fave movie, hands down. OVER WIZARD OF OZ.
Damn I'm jelly of that hair style.
I like him
Gesù mio.. 👍
is it me or did jakes hair get thicker, it always used to seem he had fine hair
it's like mine but I'm not as good looking
dude literally has the best hair in hollywood, he can rock every goddamn look im jealous
Training probably released testosterone and made him get thicker hair.
Nico Reveco he’s gotta product in it
Maybe it's Maybelline...?
He is fine, thats tru!
Hes pretty good actor
I didn’t know Kurt Sutter directed the movie now I have another reason to love it
Actually he wrote it. antoine Fuqua directed it. He also is awesome, check out his stuff if you like Sutter.
Megan A He wrote the movie but Antoine Fabian directed the movie and he trained with him as well.
Hate all these negative comments this is a fucking great interview. Chill guys
Cool guy
I wanna get on the PEDs Jakes buddy Armstrong hooked him up with for the movie
Was it just anavar and deca?
0:53 Same... as a matter of fact, I've been putting weight lately and now I have a belly and tits and I'm doing exercise
worth it
Let me spare the mystery. How did he get the body for the movie? Workout, chicken, rice, protein supplements, and lots of Anavar stacked cycles.
Seems like a grounded dude on first impression.
most if not all actors also take performance enhancing drugs to get that look quickly
All of them take some drug
Duh
jazzblaster nah, it’s just consistency and good nutrition
Yup but knowing Jake as a hard working method actor I doubt he'd take the easy way route, especially not for a boxing film lol
jazzblaster You still have to do the workouts.
Hope he take over the Batman role.
Donnie Darko got ripped,lol.
Please say hello to security
Haha jake telling it like it is. ..Some actors should get hit.. haha i fuckin love it
he was doing the one punch man training......
Notice how no one ever mentions the grueling diet that goes along with the training.
here he says "no" to previous martial arts but in another interview he says karate
it was howard who used the words "martial arts" here. he was just saying he had never boxed before. which is true. karate is not boxing
“Ok”
I bet Eminem advised him about those 8 miles
His hair is real life goals
movie entertainment = professional wrestling -- Hollywood $ = TV $ "acting"?--er, no: connections inside
Movie was the most cookie-cutter plot ever, but he was good as a fearsome, fucked-up boxer.
growth hormone at least and quote me on that.
m7mdawadh I agree. but he is pretty young still and he always has a lean body. it's doable in 5 months if he trained like he says he did. I'm 30yrs old 6' tall & senior yr h.s I was 152lbs lean from playing varsity basketball. now am 170lbs lean and honestly I barely lift weights. I just do my cardio 4 times a week in the morning before breakfast. when I lift I usually just do bench press and arms(bis-tris) one day. and then I'll do my back and shoulders another day. but is not crazy lifting. my body just put on the muscle Bc I got older my frame got bigger. so I really do think he did it naturally. specially with these celebrity trainers and the motivation of getting that 10 million dollar check will make any man get in shape.
m7mdawadh 100%, dude looks skinny fat 2 months after the movie.
m7mdawadh doubtful
Test and hgh for sure, possibly winny and clen
Jake is my husband whether he likes it or not
I love that he said "real jobs that matter". That shows that he is grounded and not Sean Penn.
Eat clen, tren hard, dbolish your goals, anavar give up
Total man crush ...... I'm not gay .....but,
What kinda training he do for Brokeback Mountain
For some reason Rocky`s training insipers me more than Jake`s story about training and this shitty movie that everyone seems forgotten
Tony Maquire looks like he grew up
😂🤓
You take tren and test if ur Jake to bulk up. Don't lie to the audience
I think it's hilarious when actors and actresses try to convince us how hard they are working........no one else does that. Shows u how silly their jobs are.....
I hate Howard Stern. But great artists go the show so.. here I am watching.
But money though.
H.c gu
so... boxing training for boxing movie... what kind of training for brokeback mountain? horseback riding probably... two birds.. one stone
Now that he's off the steroids look how small he is. Case and point.
god, he's beautiful... no homo :P
What do you have to do:
"Haha (roids)"
Steroids as well, left that out. Great movie though
