I decided to try out the #JACKIEAINA X #TOOFACED Born This Way Foundation in the last two darkest shades and see what happens so if you want to see how they match and behaved over 8 hours then click to watch.
The shade after Truffle is actually called Sable not Sage and that is the actual color. On my skin tone it is absolutely lighter than Truffle but a mix of the two will give a good shade. Now we are for The darkest shade.

I don't like this review of foundation where you don't blot or powder because I feel like it is not realistic and it is also unfair to the foundation because if you are as oily as me every foundation will make you look oily. Do you agree? I think a 4 hour test is sufficient then I am blotting.
I HAVE ALSO picked up SABLE so I will have another video coming up.
OHEMAA BONSU I agree that you should test the foundation in the same way that you would wear it and I prefer an 8 hour wear test, even when blotting.
For me it's OK because I don't blot or use powder in the day and I don't touch my face, if I'm oily, I'm oily and that's all lol. Do the reviews how you like to do it girl, how you use to wear your foundations.

Truffle matches you so well!!! Loved your excitement when seeing the color match. Wish we could’ve seen how it performs when it is set with powder. I think most with combination or oily skin tend to set any foundation with powder to keep the oils at bay. Either way the shade is amazing! Great video 👍🏾
On The Go with Miko I did a full face routine and set it with my Ben Nye Chestnut powder. The only thing is I didn’t add any powder throughout the day and I don’t think that is fair
OHEMAA BONSU oh wow ok. I thought you just set your under eye area with the chestnut. Didn’t realize it was the whole face. So would you not recommend this foundation for those with oily skin then?
On The Go with Miko I think it is great. It did very very well and since during a normal day you would blot occasionally it will be perfect for us oily girls.
i don't think this would work for those with oily skin, a matte finish foundation would be better cos by the time you finish applying your makeup your oils would have already turned the foundation dewy

OMG, it made me so happy to see you so happy and excited when you were blending the foundation and it matched your skin so well and looked so good. THIS is the importance of bringing awareness about shade range. I've heard so many black girls complaining about how hard it is to find right matches for their skin color, and you're reacting as if that didn't happened often, while I highly doubt any white person would feet that happiness and excitement for finding a foundation their color since their options are endless. I WANT EVERY girl and boy to feel that excitement while applying foundation, instead of feeling left out. Honestly, I saw your thumbnail and thought "who is this beauty trying Jackie's shades with TOO FACED? And, when the video started, my next thought was "..her skin is so beautiful...She could simply throw on a BB cream , if she just feels the need to apply something, and she's out the door gorgeous! I've never seen her ch before but I hope she doesn't cover her skin with heavy foundation that she obviously doesn't need!' After you applied the shade Truffle and pulled it down with your finger, I was like...Wait! Was that jelled water she just applied to her face? Where did it go? I'd never seen a better match swatch! And the best thing was, after you finished it looked like FLAWLESS SKIN...YOUR FLAWLESS SKIN! Oh and may I say, I agree with you 100% with what you said about blotting, especially when you're talking about a somewhat dewy finished product. Idk, even though the shade range was expanded, it's still pretty limited. There are a few gaps between the dark shades. Thought there was going to be a bigger range, the way it was hyped up for the past couple of months.
Ann Ann the jump between Sable and Truffle is big. I was hoping there would be an in between shade. But the ones they have do have very beautiful undertones and colors.
It’s still more shades than it cosmetics
I would suggest you try it on, get samples and go home and try. There is something about what they did with the undertones and colors that makes this work
aaron barnes True but You could see the work they put into making every light shade, its's a beautiful gradient until the medium deep shades where you don't really have that nice gradient. You could tell that 2 or 3 foundations shades are needed between a few. The end is abrupt.
Ann Ann I guess it takes a lot of time and effort to get those slight differences in shades. But you are so right about the light shades.
