I've had much better luck with cardboard than weed barrier--and it's free! I just bought more of the glass-topped solars. This year's DT selection of solars has been outstanding, but this new version with actual glass instead of the plastic it used too be is really a deal (the same ones are about $4 at Lowe's.
I love using cardboard in my raised garden beds. The solar lights are so darling this year! I wish I would have bought more. The glass ones are amazing!
