I'm currently in a PhD-educational policy and social justice program and I have never came across how to do any of this. I really appreciate it. Watching the latter part of the video showed me the importance of having a concept model side-by-side with the Theories I'll be using A.k.a. Theory framework. This is amazing. I feel so relieved. Thank you so very much professor Ali

I wasted three years of my PhD shooting in the dark. It's now i am watching your videos and am getting back on track. You are a guide for e very scholar out there. God-send for us....poor lost scholars of the seemingly or factually, 'savage world', of academic research. Thank you from the core of my heart.

What my PhD coursework couldn't explain, you did a fantastic job of explaining. I wish you were my mentor (in a way you are now). You have a knack for figuring out what's difficult to grasp and then making it simple. Thanks.

I read your presentation with great interest. Overall, it was fantastic. Nevertheless, let me outline five points that I believe are vague and require further explanation: 1) No definition of theory and what is not a theory (which is essential to differentiate it with literature review); 2) No distinguishment was made between theory, concept, model, framework, typology, and literature review (LR). Each has its nature; 3) No theory characterization, including its axioms, prepositions, relationships, limits, operational levels, etc. 4) No dichotomy or building blocks of theory is mentioned; 5) Protocols of conducting theoretical framework (actually conceptual framework) is not clear enough, and; 6) There are many research methodology books on theory. Probably, it is good to start with Babbie, Neuman, Leedy and Ormrod, Leavy, Teddlie and Tashokori, Creswell, Bryman, Bergman, Creamer, Patten and Newhart, Abbott and Mckinney, etc.

Very good suggestions and some of the stuff was talked about during the session in Urdu/Hindi. I had to cut some of that stuff to make it understandable to all
The audience. I will be uploading more stuff related to the issues raised.

@@ResearchBeast I see. In any case, it is good to start with the concept of theory. Typical LR is not a theory as the latter must go beyond a bundle of data but must possess axioms, propositions, hypotheses, limits, etc. If you can distinguish a theory, (or not a theory), and its relationship to the research paradigm, you can now positioning it to related concepts, namely theoretical framework, conceptual framework, model, framework, typology, etc. Goof luck!

Love the simplicity...helps novice researchers such as me get a basic understanding before moving further..as to your first definition of physical
environment by Kotler, could you please elaborate what process you undertook to get to that first definiton...I hear the suggestion to read much and agree that it is a valid one...but one does want to spend time on effective reading that yields maximum ROI. So was there a process you followed such as taking the earliest citation in an article that is written on physical environment and backtracking it? Are there any other techniques you might want to share...thanks in advance.
